  1. great report!!! loved that "topwater walleye" pic!
  2. Hey all I have been wondering if there are any brook trout in and around the halton region? I have caught a few nice brook trout up in algonquin park before, but I don't know of any other spots to catch them. I have heard that the credit can be good for them, but I was wondering if there was any closer rivers or ponds that I could catch them in. I was out tonight fishing, and dident catch anything. I'll be able to get out tomorrow and/or monday to do some more exploring before trout season closes, and if anyone could point me in the right direction that would mean a lot to me! Thanks in advance - Matt
  3. i thought there was just little pumpkinseed and carp in that pond?
  4. i dunno if its legal or not, but whenever i clean my fish right after ive caught them (not very often), i just put them in a bucket and throw them as far out as i can. I dont think many CO's would bother ticketing you for that considering how many people are doing worse. If anything, your just giving the snapping turtles a free meal!
  5. What species are in the reservoir? What techniques should I be using? Thanks, Matt.
  6. In the lake I have caught bass, pike, crappie, perch, sunfish, bullhead, carp, and even got a snapping turtle once. all the conservation areas have healthy populations of fish, with most of them being small-average size but you sometimes hook up with a trophy.
