seen old man neatest stl I have ever seen 10 ft cane pole 10 ft mono line dunking weeds for walleye now the neat part,,,when he got a hit set the hook thew pole in the lake when the fish wore itself out dragging the pole old man rowed over picked pole out of lake and boated the fish this happened all morn till he got his limit...

how bout old school cod jig 400 ft line toss the big jig overboard and wear yourself out catching cod off the coast of nfld all handline fishing...wish I was kid again....lol for a treat we would row into a secluded bay and go brookie in a creek that seen very few humans if any at all twig. line. hook. find a worm or grub you were set after 1st trout bait was the fins on a hook

I'm a total nut for flipping and dunking jigs in the thickest weed I can find find that a variety of fish live where you can hardly get a lure

wash my hands with straight gas...drys them out..then rinse in lake.... don't like any oil or scent of any kind in boat

good thing or not irrelevant...they are not going away my report was just that a report! catching fish to me is what its all about....who cares about species! fished across this great country of ours am privileged to have the ability to go fishing I enjoy others catching fish as much as myself no matter species your kill them all attitude is the issue ...statements like that makes real fisherman everywhere look bad

But now that they are there the lake will go through a cycle with pike part of that cycle and yes be prepared those that think that in the future pike will not be in all the kawarthas if they are not be warned THERE HERE!!!!!!!!!

I think there is a lesson that your dad was trying to teach you that you missed fishing is not about catching !!! its about the time you get to spend outdoors and sharing those special moments with family and friends GO OUT CATCH A FISH WHILE ALONE...YES ITS SPECIAL GO OUT WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY CATCH A FISH OR NOT....THATS WAY MORE SPECIAL

when your favourite walleye lakes are full of muskies...KILL EM ALL !!!go fish a muskie lake not the kawarthas.. u are obviously not old enough to understand the cycles a lake and nature goes through or just out for your own satisfaction not the future of lands and waters

THIS IS SIMILAR TO WHAT HAPPENED TO ME LAST YR FISHING BALSAM LAKE..TOOK 2 LEGAL FISH WITH ME STOPPED BY MINISTRY WITH BOAT ON TRAILOR..THE FISH WHERE LEGAL ON BALSAM BUT NOT THE REST OF KAWARTHAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF WAS MINE THAT THE FISH WHERE LEGALLY TAKEN ON BALSAM.. WON IN COURT WAS A TOTAL HASSLE...TRANSPORTING FISH YOU MUST HAVE A LICENSE OR DOCKUMENTATION FROM THE TROUT FARM ETC...AS TO WHERE YOU ACQUIRED THEM TRY AND GET A LEGAL MUSKIE MOUNTED...YOU BETTER HAVE PAPERWORK PROVING WHAT WATERS IT CAME FROM AS LEGAL SIZES ARE DIFF IN DIFF AREAS

really?????? I suppose you believe walleye,musky lm and sm bass are all native to the kawarthas imo we will just have to work with what we get..the big problems seem to be when we try to control the fisheries
