Skunked on the bass this morning, 10 pound catfish though.. Will be going out later tonight for a retry, maybe on the fly ?

Went last night, crazy packed, had long lines but they were prepared and had many tills open for checkout, Impressed with that. IMO has a better fly fishing section then BPS, but BPS has way more selection of other fishing gear. One thing I didnt like about it was how the flylines and leaders an all that was behind the counter.. Waited 20 minutes just for the guy to hand me some backing! I'll be back when its not so busy for sure..

Is there a point of even trying for trout on rock ? Or would it be a waste of time that i could be on the other lakes?

Thanks , my plan is to troll during the day and toss flies at dusk an dawn.. Is it worth my time to fly fish ? Heard that the trout come into shallows to feed

Hey guys, going to Algonquin to fish for some trout this summer ( and bass but I have the tackle for bass..) and I'm heading out to do some shopping for lures and whatnot for the trip. Will be using both the Spin and fly rod, so what would you suggest for lures and flies? Thanks

Lake Niapenco Report

Hey guys, just a small report today. Got out to Lake Niapenco this afternoon, the first hour and a half I tried for my first crappie, but figures that with a lake with millions of them in there, I wouldn't catch any LOL Anyway after that I started focusing on weedbeds and hooked into some small largies.
