-
Dont have any of those swivels .. What if i drop a meduim spoon down wait till it hits bottom reel up about a foot then troll?
-
Im going up to killbear near parry sound and i only have a canoe , i know they have made a name for themselves for having plenty of lake trout , BUT there deep and im in a canoe , would vertical jigging work?
-
Never heard of / fished there , but if it's a conservation area you may wanna check the regs . I know some of the other areas and hamilton have some heavy rules
-
I find they easily bite worms .. Ive always caught them on worms , although ive never tried anything else cause i usually catch them when fishing for other species.

Hey guys , yes i do relize this is my fourth post of the day , but im going away for 3 weeks tommorow and want to get as much info as possible, so has anyone fished raby lake near killbear? Whatchya catch? bait suggestions, spot suggestions? Thanks,
-
Did you fish under the bridge?
-
believe it or not , i go and pick up lures from the dollar store , and they are actually outfishing my rapalas! And there only a dollar. !
-
Do you how i could find some fish?
-
i agree this is my third year , an i think the pike i caught was just along the weeds .. Cant remember aha. also seen a guy pull in a 6 pound smallie !
-
also for the pike were you fishing in the weeds on the sides of the lake with weedless lures or were you out in the middle.. leaving tommorow for 3 weeks and wanna make the most of my time there lol
-
have you gotten much pike in raby lake? ive only fished it for an hour when we were leaving and caught a small pike, didnt know if it was a fluke or not..
-
I did it with a canoe! All I did was cast as far as I could with the wind to get an idea of how much line I had and just let the wind drift me towards where it landed. That should be enough time for the spoon to get to depth then start jigging! I caught 5 doing this in about 3 hours.
haha alright thanks! I'll try it out , never caught a laker before !

you may want to pace yourself
many people lose interest in replying if a person has multiple threads going all at the same time
so most people do one question thread at a time
or just ask multiple questing all in one post rather then many thread..
but there is no rule about it so do what you want, it is just a suggestion
okay new to this whole thing, thanks for the suggestion

I am taking two brothers in law out next week for pickeral and am asking if someone could PM me some spots that I could try. I will be launching at Port Maitland, and do not have the first clue as to what to use or where to go. I have dipsey divers to get the baits down. My lowest trolling speed on the main motor is 2.5MPH. Any help is welcome!
This is a chance for us to compare BC fishing to Ontario fishing.....
I fish the shallow 5 foot grand river for walleye using floating rapalas, although im not sure this would work in the lake as they would be deeper. perhaps try to throw jigs or a deep diver down?
-
I fish Paris to Brantford weekly in a canoe and jerkbaits in greens and silvers 4 inches in size.
Also Live target perch coloured cranks.
Lots of Bass between 1-2.5 lbs caugh each trip.
I think the key is to throw somethign you can cover alot of water with.
Chad
Thanks i cover York to cayuga daily trolling.. to cover lots of water. me and my dad hit walleye in the same spot .. so i think next time i drift down the river ill anchor and through some floating rapalas out
-
Go out into the bay clearing the shallow water off the cliff jumping rocks. Just jig large spoons around 50-75 ft? You'll catch Lakers.
would i be able to do that in a kayak.. ahha?
-
Ive tooken interest in fishing walleye lately, but cant get then to bite the same bait consistenly , ive only managed to catch 3. 1 on a worm and 2 on floating rapalas . Im fishing the south grand river and the next few weeks parry sound area . Help ?!
