Oldman. I owe you.   I guess the idle screw was turned all up.   Tried it quick without water and it sounded great.  Tomorrow I'll put it to the test in water.

    Thank you!!

Without water?  Were you at least using motor muffs?  If not, I would replace the impellor too.

I have a 2009 16' Lund Rebel XL SS. 50HP Merc. I bought it used and it came with a 4 blade on. I also have the original 3 blade, and I have always wondered if for my usage, I should switch back to the 3 blade?

I got an email today because I was using the sizing app they have on their site.  They said that three blade props perform better for motors under 120 hp.  According to them the better hole shot etc., from four blades only applies to motors over 120 hp.

I also have a 16' boat with a 50 hp Merc.  So, I am interested in hearing how your boat performs with the two different props.

my buddy loves the stuff. Personally I don't understand why people don't just hang a few ounces of weight ahead of a 10 foot leader (coming from the guy who doesn't have leadcore)

Lead core will snake through the water and add some action to the presentation.  You won't get the same effect with a heavy weight at the end of the line.

Before everyone looses their manure,  there will be an amendment coming out to remove shotguns from the list.  Somebody didn't know how to use a ruler when they measured inner barrel diameter.

Good to know.  Do you have a link to that information?

I’m not a gun owner, but if I lived in the bush, especially remote areas, I’d want hunting rifles that had a small magazine or shotguns that held more than 2 cartridges. Out in big bear country I’d want a large caliber handgun on my chest.

It would be all about securing food and protecting me from large predators.

Truth be told, I had no idea assault rifles were even legal in Canada. I don’t feel the need to own one, therefore banning them makes no difference to me. But I do see the concern in government removing our rights.

The term "assault rifle" is not legally defined in Canada.  Depending on how you define it, they may have already been illegal.

are those magazines illegal to purchase if imported from the United States? My understanding is that you can purchase the magazine, it is only technically illegal to install it? I may be totally incorrect here.

I am not sure.  It would be more logical to make them illegal; but the government is not always logical.

I fired a lot of guns when I was younger, target practice, etc at my Dad's hunting camp and my cousin's cottage. I haven't kept up-to-date on firearms, and am unsure of how to interpret the list of banned firearms. Are most of these single/double shot (i.e. your standard hunting rifle style), or are they magazine-ready and capable of firing lots of rounds/minute? If so, are those magazine-capable guns a small subset of the newly-banned firearms? I don't really have an opinion one way or the other on this, but would appreciate an informed, unbiased interpretation. It's very hard to find a source of discussion that isn't political with people being hyperbolic. Thank you.

There are some bolt action rifles included in the ban.  But most or the banned firearms are semi-automatics that accept magazines.

But not all semi-automatics with magazines have been banned.   For the most part, the ones that look like military firearms are banned; one that look like a traditional hunting rifle are still legal.

Magazines were already limited to five rounds, so they cannot legally fire a lot of rounds per minute.  They can just fire five rounds very quickly before you have to reload.  Although, if you were able to get an illegal large capacity magazine, you could fire a lot of rounds per minute.

That was horrible to watch, wow. Hopefully the 'murder hornets' fade away like the 'killer bees''

    What's next....probably the assassin wasps

Killer bees haven't really faded away.  They just never made it this far north.  They do have them in the southern states.  They're not has bad as the media portrayed them back in the 70s; but they do kill people each year.

Was announced today that opening parks is part of the first “phase” of covid restriction reduction. So that’s about as good of news as we can get. I think May 2-4 might be the target but I’m just speculating.

Going by this, it looks more like Stage 2 to me.  But hopefully it will be in Stage 1.

    Phase 2: Restart

    • Ontario will take a three-stage approach to loosening emergency measures and reopening the economy:

      • Stage 1: Open select workplaces under modified operations (ex. curb-side pickup and deliveries), allow some small gatherings like funerals

      • Stage 2: Open more workplaces (may include some service industries, office and retail businesses), outdoor spaces, and allow some larger gatherings

      • Stage 3: Further relax the restrictions of public gatherings (large public gatherings like concerts and sporting events still be restricted), opening all workplaces responsibly

    Iron, you’d be a fan of Curren$y

his entire rap persona is built around “Cruise life”. Precisely what you describe above.

one of my favourite lyrics of all time that he raps, “I just drive like that to protect my rims, I ain’t slow”

he has multiple albums about cars, at the drive in, Saturday night car tunes, parking lot music...etc etc etc

    check this song

you can perhaps connect with this lyric Johnny “The bro Cellski left the green door open I'm in the Nova, that 383 stroking
Gas or that cash flow, that's what keep me going”

you may have more in common with a guy with baggy clothes than you’d think lol

part of the problem with car culture is the absolute insane inflation of pricing on vehicles and even worse the absolute over complication of vehicles. I was lucky enough to grow up in pretty much the very last generation of manageable cars that you could do something with the engine without needing a PhD in automotive engineering. After 2007-8ish that was the end of straight in line dual overhead cam engines that allowed for tuner culture to explode. Until that year it wasn’t a big deal throw a cold air intake, intercooler and turbo on those cars and flash em and add 80 horsepower to a 2000lb car in a weekend. Jeez I remember when I switched cars my buddies took all of the aftermarket parts on my car including the entire stereo system in an afternoon. Two 12 inch subwoofers in the trunk you could hear me coming from two blocks away. I didn’t even drive fast or race, I just had big ass 18inch blades on the sedan, thing had about 4 inches of clearance it was so slammed. Rear wheels tucked the entire tire. I did all of this crap and I didn’t even know anything about cars or grow up in a garage or any of that. It was just simple nuts and bolts. If you could undo the bolts on your suspension you could throw coilovers in the thing and go get an alignment at Canadian tire for $80 and you were looking crazy.

things have changed terribly. Jesus Christ Iron, to change a friggin bulb on my truck I had to take the entire front end of my truck off!

i get that new headlight tech and fuel efficiency blah blah blah makes cars better but come on, you can’t tell me making it impossible for the average person to change their headlight bulb without visiting the stealership for $130 an hour wasn’t intentional. Drives me absolutely insane

I think it was a BMW vehicle that they recommend going to the dealer to open the hood.  It's a two person job, and there is a You-Tube video on how to do it.

There is a small port on the side so that you can boost the car without popping the hood.

    That didn’t help me

i had heard all  that but it doesn’t answer my questions

i mean can I buy  50 barrels and store it in my tanker  truck.
mans they pay me to 2000 bucks to buy it

Theoretically yes, but you may need another 50 or 60 thousand trucks to handle their minimum order 😉

Now if happened to have a storage tank that can hold a full tanker ship full of oil located near a large port, this would have been a great opportunity.

Was he the poo disturber here when I 1st joined around 10 years back? The guy I am thinking about sure was a piece of work. Art must have been a rookie Mod. then because today no one would put up with the guys shenanigans on OFC. I think they call them keyboard cowboys.

Johnny Bass?   I didn't find him that bad.  I think Ken Daley, aka what's his name, was the worst "poo disturber".  He would definitely fit the "piece of work" description.

Edit.  I guess the moderators agree, they even banned his handle  😄
