  1. August 12, 2015 - 16' x 15' wall being erected (raised to vertical from floor) by a crew of 5, base stops broke out, wall kicked out at bottom, slid off deck and came down (at warp speed!). Ruptured my right distal tendon, had to be surgically reattached, also torn bicep muscle, since then shoulder, wrist, and upper arm muscle & nerve issues. Been in physio since Oct 6.

Any type of movement hurts, and hurts more the harder, faster or further I go!

    Fun eh?

    Michael

    Darn man! Sorry

I tore my hamstring when I was 21 I think, horrible injuries to deal with.

For 2 years I did nothing but rehab. First physio, ice, heat,

    Then stetching

    Then light excercise

Then intense message to break up scar tissue, ice and heat again

Then when I could it was the recumbant bike

It was all I could do all day was physio related for 2 years.

I hope your doing well and take care of that injury so it doesnt haunt you all your life

  2. Guess I got it all then - 16-18 INCHES to wade thru to get to the van in the driveway, promptly got stuck as it's pure ice under the snow and had to shovel with only one good arm (yeah right!). Took me over an hour to do what should take about 15 minutes. Got to physio 45 minutes late and had to skip all my exercises, just do ultrasound and some other electrocution machine along with hot pads. At school now and the bad arm is just throbbing.

Landlord ain't gonna be too happy when I get done with him about this....

    RANT over!

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming... (dang that hurts!)

    Michael

    Man that sucks!!!

Whats the injury if you dont mind me asking?

  3. I'm in dufferin county hope it just blows away. :D

Driveway near killed me with a shovel no practise snowfalls this year.

I havent even shovelled once this year lol.

    What the heck?

And its supposed to be around +10 again by saturday.

Worse winter ever in NW ontario

  4. Very interesting indeed.

I don't actually eat pickled ANYTHING except capers - no pickled cucumbers, beets, eggs, fish (rollmops), sauerkraut, etc etc. And I have only eaten pickled capers with smoked fish, which I do enjoy.

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! :canadian:

    Doug

    Mmm pickled fish!

Funny shag I too love capers with smoked trout especially.

I used to use capers from time to time before the family got too big(and too picky)

A small amount in soups is great!

  5. I agree that you cant make conclusions based on one fish but i think most of us know that fish slime is a critical part of a fishes makeup, i ve never used a handling glove myself but if you do i thought most people would wet a proper rubber glove not use your work glove.

The less you handle any fish the better off its going to be, i dont think you need video proof to know that.

Spot on! But its good to know!

Obviously this is "scientifically flawed", but it is interesting nonetheless

  6.

I think that you have missinterpreted the percentages.

18% of Canadian adults represents far more than 18% of Trudeau's supporters. If the 18% of adults who had smoked marijuana in the last year had voted for Trudeau, that would represent about 67% of his voters.

Approximately 68% of eligiable voters cast a ballot in the election. Of those, about 39.5% voted Liberal. So, about 27% of Canadian adults voted Liberal (39.5% of 68% = 26.9%) in the election. If 100% of pot smoking adults voted Liberal that would represent (18/27=67%) of his votes.

I agree that it is unlikely that they all voted Liberal; it is unlikely that they all voted period. But even if half of them voted in Liberal that would be a full third of the votes that he received.

    And thats completely inconceivable.

These numbers, I believe are skewed. But its all we have to go on so it is what it is

  7.

It may have been a factor in his win, but I doubt it was a major one. A forum research poll in November 2015 concluded that 18% of Canadian adults have smoked marijuana in the last year (http://poll.forumresearch.com/post/2426/most-want-it-licensed-and-sold-through-government-agencies/). In my opinion, it is unlikely that the entire 18% voted unanimously for Trudeau, so I believe it is fair to say that he received less than 18% of his votes from people based solely on his legalization promise.

I would say thats truth. After all these people smoke regardless. Also im assuming (but I think thats fair) that many of these so called 18% have other political interests outside of legal marijuana

  8. These aren't government stats, Each political party has a "machine". They do their own stats and info gathering just like Google and Apple aim to know your children's ages, spending habits, .. Frig, name it they probably figured it out about you

Whats is canadas version of the NSA?

  9. my doctor told me....is he misinformed as well?

you dont know what you are talking about friend!

Many general practitioners are ill informed. Many are good but they most often dont study these topics.

Like I stated before, I could find two cases of psychosis possibly linked to marijuana but the studies are in individals that were heavy smokers in their youth and later on had suffered an undesclosed head trauma.

So that doesnt really prove anything.

The reasons I stated that this should be atudied further and the age should be 25 is because the endocannabinoid system is barely understood and it obviously plays a crucial role within the body as other studies show that blocking this system causes cancerous tumour growths quickly.

Also, any substance that affects neuranatomy should be dealt with seriously, as major problems can arise when tinkering neurotransmittors
