  1. I was on the water.. didn't feel a thing. I kinda wanted to feel it though, not a usual thing thats for sure.
  2. yeah I took a lot at it. It sounds like a great club and everything I just don't think i can make the once a month commitment to it. Im busy with hockey and what not. That would be awesome meeting with everyone and such, it's something I would definitely do in the future.
  3. Thanks for the help guys! What is the "Muskies Canada Chapter"? A muskie club sort of thing?
  4. Hi everyone, I'm looking to get into muskie fishing but I don't know where to start. Anyone have any suggestions for muskie spots close to Toronto and some tackle to start out with? Thanks
  5. Thats just plain carelessness. People like that shouldn't be allowed to drive a boat or any other motorized vehicle for that matter.
  6. Awesome job man! A muskie an an ultra light.. who would have figured? Congrats and thanks for sharing.
  7. ahah.. thats insane. Like I said earlier, if my raven rod and islander reel fall in the water ill be in there in a second ahah. At least you have another fishing buddy!
  8. I gotta get familiar with that... I have a crappy camera so I'll take all the sharpening |I can get. Im gunna think about getting one of those SLR cameras when I save some money.
  9. No way i fish there all the time!! haha thats awesome. We should go in with some shovels one day and do a little demolition ourselves... no one will know about our little honey hole there haha. Maybe we could even toss a boulder or two in there. That and the tree we'll be catching salmon, bows, browns, carp and bass year round ahah. And was the rod functinal???
  10. I'm a newbie so i wouldn't know!
  11. You were fishing for bows and you hooked a GL2 rod and Islander reel that was under the water? haha Thats awesome.. don't know how someone let a rod like that just get away from them.. it isn't that deep!
  12. I second Glen's opinion!! ahah
  13. To add to my earlier post. A few of the windmills I find actually look quite scenic. The one in downtown Toronto always gets a stare from me! But I think 700 is just way over the top. It would look horrible in my opinion.
  14. I think windfarms are a decent idea... about time we started thinking about using natural resources as power. If the project is so controversial why don't they just try 50-100 at first? 700 wind turbines... thats just crazy.
  15. There's more info on American lakes than Canadian lakes now!
  16. It still amazes me how salmon jump over those dams!
  17. Thats one expensive rod! Its up there with the pinners!
  18. looks like Lake Ontario is a bad influence on the other lakes! haha
  19. Yet another invasive species
  20. Just another invasive species... nothing from unusual now, pretty unfortunate!
  21. Yeah you're right, they're mostly regarding American lakes. How about us Canadians??! haha
  22. i blame the parents... gotta get kids like these into sports or something.
  23. 6'6'' med heavy would do fine! It all depends on your price range and lures you'll be throwing. The weight lures listed will be fine for a spinning rod but if you're going for anything bigger a baitcaster would really be ideal. The baitcaster is more expensive than the spinning rods but its a must if you're going for big pike and muskie. Rapala's magnum series has decent med. heavy spinning rods and they're quite cheap. Abu Garcia also makes a series, i beleve called avenger... something along that line. They are in the 35-45 dollar price range. Shimano has a few as well but I find the action is a bit too fast in my opinion. Goodluck!
  24. Small game hunting for squirrel... someone tell me how you mistake a human for a squirrel
  25. How is the fishing on Scugog anyways? My cousin has a house up there and a boat but i've never been, im thinkin about going up!
