  1. hmm... Perhaps that will be what I will have to do... $200 is pretty steep for a batter/bag and transducer.
  2. Is it for sale ahaha Just wondering of they are a good choice and if people know where I can get my hands one
  3. They have the 522c but not the ice machine
  4. I am looking for a "Lowrance LMS-522c Ice Machine" and am having troubles tracking one down. It seems that they have been discontinued. Does anyone have an idea where I can find one? Also does anyone have experience using these on the boat or ice?
  5. As far as I know most of the floater suits that people buy also do not protect against hypothermia. They probably only delay the process for a few minutes..
  6. Haven't had a chance to try it out... Initial thoughts are as follows 1) Seems very warm. 2) Very comfortable. 3) Looks well made. 4) Looks like there is no chance that this thing would make you float but apperently it does...
  7. Firstly I recently bought an arctic armor suit and am really pleased with it (my build is not condusive to the other floater suits on the market as I am 5'6 and 190 well mabye more like 5'5 and 200). This may sound silly however, I often have company up at my place and was wondering if wearing a life preserver underneath an over sized winter jacket would be ok while ice fishing. Have any of you ever tried?
  8. I have been fishing that area for the last couple weeks and have had a real hard time getting anything to bite. If I work hard enough I will always get a few LM Bass. Have not been able to catch Pickeral,Pike or SM Bass recently. I am starting to become very discouraged.. hehehe
  9. Thx... I will give the narrows a try and troll some open water for Pike aswell
  10. Recently I moved out of the big city(Toronto) to a place on the BOQ (sandy cove area between Belleville and Deseronto). I have been fishing the area for around 4 weeks now and have got a couple of Walleye and tons of Largemouth Bass. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on how to locate/catch the Pike and Smallmouth Bass in this area in the fall... Thx for any advice/help in advance
  11. I checked the guidelines for the Upper Bay and they are almost identical to the Trent River.... Infact in some cases they are better
  12. uhmmmm.... Are you being serious? You should be mad at the government not 2 poor kids that could get there heads cut off for being in a fight. (sigh)
  13. That's only the walleye over 5pnds.... Personally I would feel bad eating a walleye that big anyways
  14. Doesn't the bay actually flow out to Lake Ontario? Wouldn't the water quality be similar to that in the Trent and Moira Rivers?
  15. i am moving to a place on the BOQ come Sept... Is the water quality there worse than other inland lakes? I really hope it is not too bad
  16. Man I must be a really bad bass angler.... I will be glad with 2-3 in a day...
  17. It is a beautiful lake just the right size... One of my favorites for sure
  18. I would never trust a guy with a Buffalo Carp in his hand...
  19. 3.9 and you'll be in business
  20. It seems to have worked as in my experience the fishing is pretty good and there is no garbage to be seen It's too bad that people did not treat the lake with respect. I am genuinely happy for the owners of the homes and cottages on the lake.
  21. yah beware of the boat launch.... Somehow the owners association were able to cut off public access by only opening the boat launch for a couple of hours a day. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me as the water belongs to everyone. Imagine if this were the case on every lake....
  22. There is a massive shoal on the north end(I think it is the north) that has all kinds of fish. There are tons of Smallmouths (lots of small ones and some big ones) that you can catch with tubes or spinnerbaits. A bunch of good sized largemouths are also there for the taking. On top of that there is some good fishing for walleye (I was not very succcesfull but saw others boating limits of good sized ones 2-3lb). Apperently near the burnt river is a good place to fish for the walleye. Oh and did I mention that there is some good muskie in there aswell? I found that 7-8 pm is the prime time for this Lake and you will have trouble keeping the fish of your hook should you be out on the baot at that time of day. The best allround lure for me was a dressed #4 Black Fury... Hope this helps!!!!
  23. Not a big largemouth fan.... I will give them ago anyways though
  24. I am staying at "Bayview Resort".... I will be on the Fisher 170 Sport Hawk with a black and white bulldog. Perhaps I will se you on the water
  25. Any idea what size the pike are averaging? I have heard good things about Hay Bay as far as Walleye and Bass.
