A bucking bar is a peice of steel used on the inside of the boat to form the shop head of the rivet while it is being hammered by a rivet gun ( air hammer ).

I worked at halfway lake from 94-96 so must of been before that because we didn't have rangers there at that time, and I was a ranger in temegami in 93.
