  1. I saw that earlier today Brian and that might be my only choice
  2. Thanks for the replies I have tied some stone fly patterns and tried the lindy watwits but for whatever reason the specks, bows and perch annihilate the northland stoneflies. I will have to try the Redwing nymphs
  3. I'm getting low on my supply of the stone flies and was wondering if anyone has seen them in the gta. I've checked cabelas, sail vaughan and basspro with no luck. Cheers jeff
  4. I've always wondered why they don't focus more on stocking specks they are also native fish but don't seem to get much attention. Everyone seems to forget that browns and bows are not native. Cheers jeff
  5. They use the large size ones in the states for pike and muskie.cheers jeff
  6. Basspro and radioworld have them i'm going to pickup one this spring.
  7. I would try weedlines but the base of drops especially if they go from rock to sand are golden. I vertically jig small jigging raps and tungsten jigs with northland stoneflies on sturgeon lake for jumbos that way. Cheers jeff
  8. Nice brookies def gotta try and get out. How were the lakes looking in that area? Cheers jeff
  9. Def this time of year.
  10. Yes in the deeper hole. All i have got from that spot is wormy perch and 1 nice largemouth. Hoping i can grt up there on thurs.
  11. Might be heading up to minden this week and was wondering if there was any ice on cedar. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks jeff
  12. I have a 36" med hvy jason mitchell makinaw rod. Its a baitcaster withe the spiral guides and its hands down the best big laker and whitefish rod i have ever used. Everyone of my friends that have tried it have gone out and bought one. Cheers jeff
  13. I have used berkley big game when saltwater fishing. It has excellent abrasion resistance and good shock tippet.
  14. Those look like bloodworms to me. I've caught bot splake and bows that have had them.
  15. Berkley chiggar craws and the osp dolive craws as well. Cheers jeff
