Anybody tried it yet? They make a great line-up of ice fishing lures, wondering if the new line lives up to their reputation?
-
Made it out on Simcoe for the first time last March. Our group caught five lakers, and if I remember correctly, three of them were naturals (no fin clips whatsoever).
Pic of one that I caught and released

Shoulda made a bigger hole
Man, I thought my "sucker that should have been a walleye" down at Fishmaster's was ugly coming out of the hole
-
is it soft water season yet?
Patience young Skywalker, err, Spincaster!!!! Join the dark side, come ice fishing, and together we can RULE the galaxy!!!!!!!!!!
-
What sport do they play anyways.....if it's not NFL at the moment it ain't worth putting on the internet...
GO BILLS.....err...wait...did they make the playoffs...
Bob
They might do better playing football some nights
At least my Browns finished better than the Bengals...Browns and Leafs, I really must be a sucker for punishment
-
LOL!!! Come on Bob, how about those Leafs?
-
Back in the day...okay waaaaaay back in my pre-teen years, the yellow/black spotted Beno was our go to walleye (pickeral) lure. I'm glad I still have one of them from back then just for sentimental value.

I did years ago, nice folk. that's who I was going to look for to tell the OP
Checked that out, just for the heck of it, I love the fact that they don't charge for children under 12. Would be nice if some of the other hut operators around the province would have that policy, although many do have children that age as 1/2 price.

Good for you, Aaron. It is all about priorities, and, family should always be #1!!!
-
Don't have that one, but, I've got the old yellow with black spots, just one jointed segment. By the way, check your e-mails, Vince.
-
The age of the players really showed in teh third, NO WAY professionals would fold up like a wet rag in the third no matter what pressure they faced, good learning experience for them down the road though.
Have you watched the Leafs much, the last seven years???
-
OUCH!!!!!!!!
Guess picking that team of 19 year olds paid off in the end. What a heart breaker......
-
Watched the game. The Sweds did not play as tough as they did our boys.No real jump in thier game. The American boys played a great game, better then they played us.
Congrats to them,,,
Now only 1.5 hours til the big show.
Forgot to add....GO CANADA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Congrats to the US on the bronze medal!! Good effort, against a tough Swedish team.
-
I always buy the sport, just in case. Wouldn't mind spending the extra $'s as much if the money went back into the fishery the way it truly should.
-
Pretty simple for me as well, just get out as many times as I can and have fun! Hopefully get my first ice whitie.

Got out yesterday as I and a few of my buds had the day off. Arrived at Keswick at 7:00am and we were fishin by 7:15.
Stared out about 300 yds from shore and started to spank'em right away. Fished that area for an hour or so, then decided to move out farther hoping for some bigger fish.
The fish didn't really get any bigger, but the bite was steady and the Perch were cooperative!
Total for the day was as follows;
HH -144 and two Herring!
Tom 100 and two Herring
Rubin - 60 and two Herring
Pete - 55 and three Herring
All Herring were immediately released!
Hot bait again was the Berkely Grub on a jiggin Rap... blue and silver or Firetiger...
Ended up taking home about 20 in total... still a dink fest, but lots of fun!
Ice was anywhere from 4 inches to 7 inches, depending on where we were... the four inches we fished was solid black ice... you could see the Herring fighting 10 feet below the whole, through the ice.
Waiting for the main lake to freeze up so we can multi-species fish.
So, I've been out twice on Cook's in the past week and have personally landed over 300 perch... and between the two groups I've been with, we have landed well into the 1000 perch range!
It's a ton of fun and I highly recommend getting out while they remain cooperative!
HH
Sounds like a blast. Very similiar to what we experienced at Long Point (except for the herring). Looking forward to some good ice for lakers/whities up that way!

The Swedes did a lot of yapping about Canada. Now the States are going to mop the floor with them. Canucks gold, Ruskies silver, Yanks bronze.
Sounds good to me!!!!!
-

CHEBANG
NICE!!!!! AND they're giving a free case of beer with it!!
-
you can tell that I need to get back to work ...LOL thursday is the day I get to go back but
I hurt my back the other day icefishing didn't help it at all now who knows when I will go back..
Only one cure for that, Terry....more ICE FISHING!!!!
-
they are real good
but they don't work on simcoe ice
as everyone knows simcoe ice is different. it has something to do with the molecular bond of the ice particles and that they bond on a 45 deg angle instead of vertically like other lakes, some people believe it's a magnetic anomaly from iron in the water or copper deposits
but with the angle Sub Zero uses on their auges it binds in simcoe ice rendering them useless
-
Wow, nice ride!! I must have missed this post when you put it up a couple days ago. Bring on that ice!
-
Decent bow for some tough conditions. Vince mentioned the accident in an e-mail to me yesterday...strange things always seem to occur where he fishes...just saying

Frank.. a nice option for honey would be an island cottage on Temagami (should be drive to soon) and head out with a portable hut during the day. Do you have a sled?.. or a hut for that matter? Would have to be Feb though.. as cottage caretaker is leaving Wednesday until the end of January.

I have a two person Clam 2000, but, no sled Wayne.

Not sure if Juli was trying to kiss this Erie perch, or snort it up her nose
