  1. I have a 97 F150 and so far I have replaced the line across the front cross member and also the long line to the rear My long line had a connection just after it passed through the frame and it was right there where it let go. but it was hard to find was under truck 3 time them got mad and got in started the truck so power asist was working and jabed the peddle few times then stood on it and she let go big time that was how I found mine

  2. ok the trolling motor I curently have is a transom mount 32 lb duramax from CTC. It did well on my 12ft boat and my 14 ft boat . My new to me 16ft starcraft is a new story. it will push it but kills battery quick and can't really deal with wind.

I would like to go with a bow mount so how do I figure out how long it should be and how much thrust I need.

I would consider 24 volt if i can still charge it off the 12 system from the motor (once I get it working)

let me know your thoughts people

  3. my boat doesn't have a live well in it but I have been thinking of building one just not sure how to go about it. How big should it be ?

what to make it out of ? what to use for pumps to get water in and out (not sure I want to put a hole in my hull)

so looking for pros cons and such

  4. do to a mistake I purchased a boat that requires a long shaft motor the motor I have is a short (Iwas told it was long)

I took the boat out last night to try and see as I was told it still might just work but no luck. I have started to look for a different motor but no luck so far and not a ton of cash to spend. I have thought about trimming down the transom and putting back the orginal trim.

but I'm not sure I want to cut it either any pro's/cons to this.

    here is some pictures.

  5. ok I bought a new hull on Friday 16' starcraft. I ran my 14 ft with a 18hp nissan that I was told was a long shaft. Well when I stick it on the new hull it's 4" short. the cavitation plate is that far up the transom. can anyone suggest a fix for this issue. I'm kinda stuck limited funds now . my plan was to run the 18 till I had more cash for bigger motor. I'm not going to cut down the transom either.

is there a jack plate or trolling mount that might get me by for a bit

    I need help

  6. well the last 3 or 4 times out I have not gotten a fish in the boat . get hits but loose them. I like fishing with texas rigged frogs. my fav was the yum buzz frog but it seems to be getting hard to find. I also have some big bite toads.

well I will toss it out and wham there he is on it I can feel it so I set the hook (Ithink) and then there is nothing. now I do not use braid as of yet. could I be loosing my set in streach of the line.

I also have other frogs like scum and spro but I just don't seem to have the luck with them like i do with the plastic ones.

so far the hits are hard to find on the pond not like last year but it was aso later in season(late aug into sept) when I got out on the pond. if you look around in the water there is tons of minnows (bait fish) so I'm thinking maybe the fish are feeding on the easy stuff.

any pointers on getting the fish to stay on the hook would be great.

i have been thinking of trying braid
