  1. I'm going to tie up my kids for the day. the amount we save due to no lights/tv on will be way more than the hours worth. this will also save me from having to run around the house 30 times turning stuff off. They have been told and told.

  2. when i was younger i use to like watching this movie .I cn't remeber the name and not sure if I will ever find it but here goes what I remember. It's about a boy that leaves home (I think) and he goes and lives in the woods. hefinds a big hollowed out tree to live in . he finds a raccoon and keeps as a pet/friend. he lives off the land and does meet a few people while out there. I think he gets snowed in in a storm too. He eventually returns to his real home.

any help to find it would be nice I would like my kids to watch it

  3. My goals for this year are

Raise at least $500.00 for Fish A thon for a cure (anyone want to pledge me?)

Dunville cat fishing (never done it sounds like fun)

would love to catch my first waleye (might be another trip to Dunville)

get me some cold water pike off LPB

    perch

    bass

hope fully hook up with a bunch of other great fishing people for fun

get at least 2 or three people fishing that either never have or havn't in long time (even if just once)

get to know Long point bay areas much better in my boat

would love to be able to get out fishing at least once a week

get to be better with the two baitcasting setups I have (won one last year at Fish A Thon)

  4. Your right with the facts that if I need it then the money spent is worth it. I'm leaning toward the inflateable for the same reason as you have stated conort and put it on when I aproch ramp with the boat and take it off when boat is on trailer and I'm packing up. it's not that I have herd anything bad about the inflatables but just want to make sure before spending the $$$$

  5. ok curently when out I do ot wear my jacket I'm either sitting on it or it's not far away. I do feel that it should be worn but I find them not comfortable. I have been seriously thinking of a self inflating type. but I'm on a budget to. I have seen some Mustang brand at shows for 115.00 ish. I have been eyeballing te BPS brand in the cataog. Can anyone tell me any reasons not to but a inflateable jacket.

  6. ok my son found my big mag lite (I though it got tossed out long ago) anyway when I opened it up the old batteries are stuck in side and very corroded I have banged it had on a hard surface (with soft top) and still no budging. thinking of either putting a long screw into the batter and trying to pull it out or drilling the battery center out and colapsing the stuck battery.

looking or ideas or someone to tell me not to try the stuff I'm thinking

  7. Hello I would like to start making some spinner baits and other simple tackle. through out the seasons I have been lucky to go fishing with several hosts.I would like to be able to give something back as a token of appreciation. So I thought this could be a simple way to do it. Wha are the sugestions on here for someone starting out. buy a kit or just supplies and go at it. I have never done any of this before but willing to try

  8. After reading the thread about what brand of battery it reminded me I should pick up a new one. Now the trolling motor I curently have is a 35lb thrust (I think). I have plans to replace it to some time this summer. But I have always had isuues with the batery I use going flat. I bought i deep cycle Nataulis from CTC last year and it is better but I can still kill it. I'm now pushing a 16ft starceaft tinner with the trolling motor. I have at least one event this year that will be all day on the trolling motor. I do not want to run out of battery part way through the fish a thon. I also want to stop carrying extra batteries just incase.

so how do I know what size of battery to buy to hopefully solve this issue

  9. i'm definatly going to put a new rod in the motor. I have seen a few of those cheap motors that are really knock offs not last very long at all. as for the rod I now have see various prices for one and have a few place to check yet. got to like the place ready to give a price then it a 2 or 3 week wait for them to get it but they don't tell you that till you ask when you can pick up or when will it ship out
