  3. so you saying fish are already in bronte cause i mainly only go to the piers after i have been at petro canada park for a few hours. i actually do take a fish or two to eat and i don't mind if their brown(but not almost dead)a good year for me is taking 3 fish home is plenty this is why i ask on this forum to learn when the fish are in the river...some people say 1 month some people say they are already in so?i don't want to be skunked like last year at bronte its a 45 minute drive : ( -fishinguypat
  4. when fishing on piers in the fall time for salmon/steelhead what is the best RIG...i know chucking cleos and using roe but how should you rig the roe? sinkers? or float? thanks heading down to bronte in a months time and preparing my gear

  8. i would say go to the doctor or a pharmacy to check it out...have you disinnfected it yet or added lotion to stop the scratching?
  9. what is the best price flurocarbon out there? and where is the best place to buy it...i need 8lb for steelhead/salmon... at canadiantire they only have the big spools as i need the smaller ones
  10. i'm spooling my line soon for salm0n/trout and maybe pike /carp ..sooo i was wondering should i spool it with my trilene tough 8lb or trilene XL 14lb? i have always said 8 or over is good but i really want a better chance at salmon/trout this year ...what do you think? fishinguypat
  11. certain times of yeasr bronte can't be beat ...but i've never tried credit,don't feel like driving the extra 20 minutes from bronte... petro canada park....
  12. yeah thats where i was heading port albert. i fish there every year twice.anyone know the best time to go to port albert?i just go there a lot and only catch i steelhead that was 28 inches
  13. as easy as a 6'6 foot-10 foot rod medium action.8-14 pound test(depends where you are fishing) a good spinning reel...if you are fishing in river/creeks you can get cheap rods and reel combo for $ 60 or more.the bait you can use is roe,marshemellows,worms,plastic worms/eggs, etc if pier fishing casting spoons is common and having egg sacks with float styrophome in them and used on the bottom
  14. has anyone ever been to point clark ontario?i went last year on my way to a steelhead river but there was no -one at point clark...does this place even have a steelhead/salmon run?
  15. i wold try the area in a week or 2 then when i go i chum corn or bait a bit away from where all the carp are...then i use corn on a hook with split shot.this usually works in my past expeirience there is no real point of going after carp that are on the surface.
  16. ah petro canada park that's what it's called...been going there for years,good spot...this year we want to go when all the fish are in there ...it was funny last year we came in the morning no-one was there...we spent an hour looking for fish but nothing so when we came back the parking lot was getting more packed...a guy asked us "see any fish?" we said no and he had a weird look on his face as if it was imposible..hehe
  17. hello this year i really want to catch a few salmon on bronte creek so i am asking does anyone know when the big run of salmon will be?last year we went on september 20th and there were no salmon in the river...so we thought it was to warm or too much water. also what is the second bridge on the bronte river called?the one where you drive down in between houses into a park? thanks for all the help hopefully we will all know when the salmon come tis year fishinguypat
  18. i've fished here once before but from shore...a few years back a friend of ours said he limited out on pike when he went to conestogo with a boat so i guess things changed
  19. hello i am new to this site and i am going fishing to conestogo lake for pike/bass and walleye saturday morning? does anyone know any good spots on the lake to fish?i have a boat and fishfinder but i need direction... thanks for any support! fishinguypat
