Humm, never knew it still existed, As a Kid growing up in Mtl I always seen Moose Heads strapped to the Top of a car as a trophy to show off. Yea show off. A neighbor would leave it on his car for a few days driving around our town. Do you wonder why they keep the head. It doesn't bother me to say the least, but what bothers me in to days world is there is no reason not to cover it up but only to show it off. I never moose hunted but I seen a buddy of mine with Buck Fever and blasted the seat in my Brother in Laws truck grabbing his rifle from behind the seat. No telling whats in these peoples minds.

WOW, a Male Cougar that traveled over 1,000KMs is resting in buddies back yard in the city. He had a GPS collar that apparently malfunctioned somewhere in the Black hills South Dakota. The big controversy is that SERM and the Police ended up shooting the cat with three bullets as their first choice. Did they do the right thing. Well I decided to try my luck out at Hackett lake for my final fishing trip, at least with the outboards. I trolled and trolled but only came up with two small jacks. I decided to pull out my 4lb ultra light and fish frozen minnows for pickerel. I would use a small bait hook with a slit shot and cast and slowly twitch it back along the bottom. I caught three small jack that thrilled me with their fighting, when I hooked this monster on a minnow barely an inch. Just to show you this Pike could of ate my reel and rod in one gulp. Thanks to the Daiwas smooth spool I was confident when it made its huge runs. When it did surface I could see it was lip hooked and it was not to secure looking. I had to act fast and gently no horsing this monster This is definitely my biggest this year and possibly last years although I wish I had a picture to compare. Incidentally last years big pike was caught on a small jointed Rapala while I was trolling for pickerel. Only regret is that Hometown Handyman wasn't around for this one. Sheeeet Happens I guess. Pike was released for next year.

The Kids got me and my wife two Tickets to see Alice Cooper in Saskatoon for our 50th Birthday. This would be the second Concert that I seen this year. Earlier Nahla and I decided to see Ozzy Osborne with Rob Zombie starting the show. The last time we seen a concert together was probably April Wine in Ottawa at the Exhibition about 12 years ago. Why now, well I guess were all getting old and I figure this may be our last chance before the classics retire or die. As far as the Cooper concert was concerned was amazing. We were by far not the oldest. There were kids, Grandmas, and forty year olds bopping their heads to the music. The atmosphere was perfect, what could of been better was seats closer to the stage. This was a rock concert with all his hits in a mixed bag. Not the theatrical spectre of a typical Cooper but enough to visually entertain with some great songs. As far as the band is concerned, they were fantastic. I found the band more rocky and tight than Ozzy's show even with Zack Wild as his guitarist. Coopers guys rocked brilliantly. My favorite song was Halo of Flies in which I witnessed a drum solo with the Drummer, Lead Guitarist, and Cooper Banging away while the Bassist soloed. I cant remember the last time I heard a drum solo, maybe there was one at the Hells Bells concert but I don't remember. How do I rate the concert, a close second to Rob Zombie who I would see again. One last thing, during the "I Want to be elected" song Alice wore a jacket with the stars and stripes, and the Guitarist had a red and white Guitar with a red maple Leaf painted that stood out clearly. Found out later in the show that his lead guitarist is Canadian, Awesome show. Next I think will be the Blue Man Group Drum and Bass solo during Halo of Flies

Why don't you ditch the Inflatable and buy a canoe. Pros. don't have to inflate--With Styrofoam can be loaded on a vehicle easily----carries more Items- Quieter----easier and faster on the water---will last longer
