  1. I wouldent be complaining if I were you... I just bought a BMW this year and found out that winter tires (with the alloys) are $3000... wallbash.gifwallbash.gifwallbash.gifwallbash.gif

Needless to say, the car will be sitting in the garage all winter.

My buddy just bought a beamer this year too. Bought a used set of rims and tires, but one tire was damaged.

That one tire cost him almost $500 installed and ballanced. I almost :asshat: my pants when he told me.. Some "run flat" winter tire..

  2. Yes! Or as you said, a hip roof. The other style is a gable end. Probably cheaper to build with a gable end?

I'm no expert, but would tend to agree. Less cutting, more uniform truss layout, easier to shingle. Also gives you a little extra storage in the rafters.

  3. That's how I used to cook every fish I caught when I was a kid.

You get used to where the bones are, and can pick them out really quickly.

I have never stuffed anything in the belly before cooking like other are suggesting. But I have put a few slits down the side of the fish, and stuffed with garlic.

It's a easy way to prepare fish, that's for sure.

  4. Don't bother drilling.

Clear the snow, put 'ducer on the ice and a splash of water is all you need.

You can't shoot through white ice though as there are too many air bubbles.

I have been able to shoot through over 5' of clear ice and mark fish doing it. :thumbsup_anim:

Wow. I thought shooting through 2' was good. That's crazy.!

  5. This summer I pulled up to a single boat launch on Six Mile, and there was a guy who tailored his boat over to the lunch, just to he could pull his plug and let the water drain out that had been sitting there all summer because his cover was torn.

It took about 10 minutes for all the water to drain..

There are plenty of hills he could have parked on, but nope, this :asshat: had to back into the boat launch. There was 3 guys ahead of me. All just sitting there glaring at the guy.

I call these people "boat launch hero's".

  6. Looks like a nice big hut, but I'll echo the concerns about it being so high of the ground, and the tires freezing into the ice. They my run flat if you leave it for a few months frozen into the ice.

Be nice if there was a way to remove the tires, or drop the hut off the trailer. But then you'd be getting into a big re-design.

  7. Its now a great jet ski lake and with only 1 sand spit ramp sadly its done.

Last time I was there I saw a guy on a jet ski with a beard bigger then big chev's. Towing a kid on a GT Snowracer, no spotter.

It was quite the sight to see..
