  1. Hey Guys.

I asked last year about a drone. Cheap one at Costco. The Mavic Mini was recommended by you guys.   Never pulled the trigger. Still interested. Just want to fool around mainly at the cottage. Take video and for my grown kids to play. Is it still the way to go ? I think it’s come down in price. I hope to convince other cottage neighbors to pay for a cottage video to pay for itself.

  2. Been a tough fall on Pigeon. Hit quite a few decent ones trolling with deeper diving walleye baits near bottom around structure at 1.5 mph in Sept-early Oct.  Ended up always bringing my big Muskie net along. Every fish lip hooked. Was lucky to land most even without leader. You would think a 42-45 would gulp a 5 inch crankbait down deep. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Makes unhooking so much easier.

  3. Hi Gents.   Just winterizing my 2007 Yammy 115 4stroke.

Looking at one spark plug. The one on the left. The end is pretty black compared to the other 3. Minimal carbon in the gap.  I check them every  fall and spray  some fogging oil into cyclinder. Then turn over for few seconds before replacing plugs. I think this is the number 1 (top) plug. They are about 5 yrs old.

Do I have a problem in the head or is this normal?  I know I Should probably replace them.

    Thank, Peter

Got one last kick at the can for musky this week after a poor outing last week and managed to get both Alex and Bruce their first ever muskies. Bruce's was a 47" fatty and Alex's fish was 44". Got one more 37" as well. All were caught early in the day and things died off after about 10:30. Fish were all caught in the lake but we took a couple of river runs as well without success. Fantastic weather for November but I think that will be it for my season.

Gonna be swimming in the lake today pulling the marine rails and docks out. Luckily I’ve got a dry suit to wear...still not fun though.

damn forecast had to get worse and worse on my vacation week. Howling winds freezing temperatures. Then my vacation ends and it’s supposed to be 15.

    good times

Wait a few days. Spring arrives Wednesday and stays about a week.

  6. Anybody using fluorocarbon as the main line on a baitcaster Muskie fishing ?

Found somebody’s Muskie lure floating.  Still attached to leader and about 10 yds of pretty heavy braid. Maybe 80 lb PP. Not hung up on anything.  I’m guessing it got cut off by zebra muscles up on weeds. Happened to me trolling for eyes with 15 lb PP.  Got too close rounding a weedbed.  Line goes slack like someone cut the line with a knife.  I’m considering  fluoro for the main line, not just leader. I guess you sacrifice length with the thicker fluoro.  But I’ve never come close to being spooled with heavy braid.  I hear the new fluoro is easier to work with than the stuff from years ago.  Any comments?
