  1. I've used it,its nice line

    cast very well,very tough also

As far as being invisible, not sure,I found the white line stood out more than the regular green spider wire

Who knows maybe under water it washes out and blends in

as far as durability, very comparable to spider wire and like most berkley lines ,pretty good

  2. Hi Rock,I think the term

To be a Captain one must posses a Captains license,to call oneself captain when chartering without a captain is a federal offense to the navigational laws

charter captain may be somewhat missed used in terms of chartering or guiding.

As far as guiding, well in 2009 Transport Canada has federal laws in place and applicable in most provinces

    1) You need a First response at sea training course (it similar to Med A 3 but instead of 8 hours its a 2 training course, not sure of the labelling of the course)

One I took if FUM A3,which is emergency response at sea

    2) You need first aid at sea training courses

    3) You need boat inspections done by TC every year

From this point on,I would suggest to start on a part time basis as you will build clientele over years

Genrally its a 5 to 10 process to establish stability. To trully earn a good living, you gotta be bullet proof and spend time on the water.more than you wish some days. Over time it does not become a job,its a way of life.

Getting rich, certainly not a goal, having a wealthy life because of what it brings you is financially not purchasable

Establishing yourself where others are establish, may or may not create conflict,my suggestion is go about your ways and dont bother anyone or better yet find an area and niche you create and trail blaze rather than go down the same beaten path.Generally this approach assure long term viability and stability

It is difficult on family life,it take allot of sacrifice from everyone in the family, including you

Certain season of the year are about you and earning a living, other times of the year its all about your family

My greatest advice is be a conservation minded operation towards your resource and it should always be there to provide

Diversify your pressure and presence and your stability in success will standardize itself

  3. Dude I am going ice fishing on Saturday

  4. I dont recall ever seeing a self employed person call a strike for a pay hike!

Then again they dont depend or subsist on socially contributed tax payer monies

My kids have gone private school for most of their education

My youngest son (15) i still in private school, they start at 7 am in class and finish at 1 pm,then activities till 3 pm (in my sons case hockey) ,I gather I am getting what I paid for

My second oldest daughter opted for public study in law versus private, most of the times the classes last half the time they are designated. Classes are overloaded and are more of a auditorium type atmosphere!

Oh the teachers dont pay stuff ,I do and always have

The problems that exist in public schools are different to private schooling but the probs faced in public schools are in part created by themselves

60 000$ a year as a teacher,I think its above average income earning for most Canadians

I have little sympathy or pity for those who earn their earnings from constituent driven funds, generaly their wages are more than most

The irony is asking constituents for pay increase when contributing constituents are losing jobs thus lessening the contribution!

Not getting what you want so you striking is an option,in the private sector you would fired or out of a client!

There was a day when a person chose to teach and be in health care for the sake of teaching or administering health, seems these days those values no longer exist

Looks like some careers have lost self pride

  5. OH

I thought they meant the HAT

    At least Scotts wear kilts!

Dang, that thing is fitting for the parade

Between Mainarella's dress and TJ's Tutu, TO is the last place I want to be!

I am thinking Terra Del Fuego is safe heaven ! :w00t:

I am scared to ask what Dave is gonna wear to the ball?

Roy,save you soul, leave the dress and hats ,keep the Aussie Hat

  6. Their hooked, then the hooks are pulled back out, then their bounced around in a livewell all day with a bunch of other fish, in a boat going upwards of 60 MPH, then hauled back out and carried to the weigh station, then back to the water and released.......

You bring up an interesting point!

Ive always wondered when these events would get away from weigh in and go to Live Release :dunno:

  7. Well,I dont fish bass but I know a thing or 2 about post mortal release and studies and they are not all rosy or bad.

I have a study on competitive events in which it is an eye opener, especially the wandering of fish after live relase of such events, some fish do not return to their original location for weeks some never do

Bass over all are the hardiest species for these events

Its the law of average although as you learning curve increase ,your post mortal release decreases but unfortunately when you calculate the overall catch increase and factor your post mortal release as being above average for the common angler, truth is when you wake you stare the ennemy in eye

    A weekend angler catch 100 fish a year,post mortal release of 15%, = 15 fish die

A proficient anglers catches 1000 fish a year at 8% post mortal release = 80 fish die

in regards to economic impact, there a few competitive events that exist that over shadow or surpass tourism economic impact, actually some events have driven tourism away ,while others have increased it in years there after due to notoriety of the fishery being publicized by certain competitive events

when looking at the effects of C&R you have to factor in total annual captures to see the true value of post mortal release

On the other hand Competitive bass angling events have led the way in fish handling and release methods by innovating products and boats for these events

There are some behaviors or culling tools which should be reconsider given the importance of fish handling these events offer as a message

Stress does not always occur during the fight, studies have shown that stress levels increase to vital levels when fish are taken out of the water not under their OWN power or intention, confinement is also a major factor of stress levels, mainly why some live well additives have been introduced.

when I wake I stare the enemy in the eye

  8. Dont be shy of running short line cranks over weed tops, run one flat line with a shallow running bait

Good indication to higher activity periods is when the water reaches 60 degrees and start rising

First emergent weeds till they reach the surface seems to be prime time for shallows eyes

Especially first warming trend in May

  9. Hey Addik, one things you want to pay attention is weeds

Look for cabbage or coontail, this will give you a starting point of aquatic vegetation to fish

all colors are good as long as its Black

Very much like cats, muskie like quick moving objects

    Great video TJ,

I certainly would ask Monique or Jaden,Keep Tj out unless you want you want presentations on getting intimate with a Honda :w00t:

Them girls can teach you how to fish

  10. I know why the bride is smiling :w00t:

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind

Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time

Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial

For what it's worth it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.

I hope you have the time of your life.

    Congrats to both of you

    Beauty words Bly
