  1. Would a Gilwellian angler do?

I'm sure it would, you're one as well are you? I lost my Woggle, Scarf and Beads on one of my many moves :(

The Pro idea was more for the "cool" factor, but lots of good ideas here, and I will see what the group wants to do and go from there. Nothing will happend until Sept. anyway, but I thought of it today and decided to see what the response would be. I'm srue the leaders and kids will have a great time no matter who shows up :)

    Thanks again

  2. Thanks guys, and you're right, I am helping my friends boys work on their badges this summer and thought it would be cool if something could be set up for the rest of the kids.

My friend is going to get in touch with one of the group leaders and see what they think...I think it would be a blast.

  3. I'm just tossing this out there...would any of the Pro's out there be willing to consider going to a cub scout meeting in the Barrie area, say, Sept/Oct to do a talk on fishing with the goal of A: possibly introducing the sport and B: helping young cub scouts obtain their fishing badge?

    Thanks

  4. I tried to call them but their line is giving me a busy signal, this usually means they are having problems with their line due to the wetness....happens from time to time, I will keep trying but if you talk to them first, ask them to call me please, I will also let my brother know...

    Thanks again

  5. Cliff, thanks for checking on my folks, I'll give them a call tonight and see how they are. I lost power last night but had it back by the time I got home from work. If you don't get enough help let me know and I'll take whatever day off that you are going to be there, and will bring my chainsaw with me.

  6. If you want to quit it, you will, the process is no different than giving up alcohol...I stopped smoking after more than 30 yrs 2 yrs ago and never looked back. Like others in the past I had tried to quit but always for the wrong reasons, once I made the choice for myself, it was easy...sort of :)

    Good luck

  7. Hey all, I've taken up baking as a bit of a hobby, and learning somthing new. I am now searching for a good biscuit recipe, I have one from my family and it's similar to another I found on the internet. Are "southern" or "country" biscuits pretty much the same? The one I have is apparently referred to as a "Baking powder" biscuit. It's good but I'm looking for more flavour and texture if that's possible.

    Thanks for the help
