  1. Some great shots there Joey, really makes me sorry I missed making it up there and seeing all of you...hopefully it will work out in August. Ralphie looks great and so does Marvin for that matter. Thanks for the pics and report.

  2. glad you're going to make it up Dan, my hope is to go up for a few hours on Sat. I'm looking forward to visiting with those that are going to be there, and who knows maybe I'll wet a line while I'm there :)

  3. Thanks Drifter, with those instructions it measures to 15" which is a short shaft, so now I just need to see if the electric start works. Here's hoping!!!

Oh, also is it easy to hook up the cables? I would imagine there shouldn't be that much of a difference between the two?

    Thanks

  4. ok, how do I tell if it's a short or long shaft??? Is there a measurement? What about the electric start?

ok I took a look at it again and Beans you could be right....now to confirm it....here's hoping this could work....

  5. Good morning all, I have an outside chance at getting a motor for my boat at a great deal....well it would be if I can get it to work :P . First question, I think the one that came with my boat is a long shaft, can I replace it with a short shaft motor and just make adjustments to the back end of the boat? The second, and really key part, I am told by the person who currently has it that he is unaware if the electric starter works as it' hasn't been tried, if it does, is it easy to hook up and what are the chances the cables I have now will fit the other motor?

My motor is a 79 Johnson, and this one is apparently an early 80;s Johnson.

    Thanks for any help

  6. "The Beast" aka Rudy will be a year and a half tomorrow, and he still acts like a puppy....imagine, 200lbs chasing a moth in the flashlight beam....ok if you're ready for it, but if he catches you off guard....lol He also chases shadows, flies, pretty much anything that moves :)

Glad you're enjoying your pup Brian, sadly I am unable to watch the videos posted here....might have to try and access them on my phone....hmmmm....

  7. I've been fortunate to have dogs that have never really minded it too much along with thunder. I have a few friends with dogs that get upset by both thunder and fireworks. Some give their dogs Rescue Remedy (homeopathic drops) and some use what is called a thunder shirt, and I think Global pets carries them. Sometimes sitting in your lap can be enough :)

  8. I'll be on vacation the week before and after, and plan to do a few day trips to that area. This year I'm not able to stay as I don't have anyone available to look after the zoo here. I wouldn't mind if someone could spare a spot in their boat for me on the Friday, for Sat I don't know what my plans are, I may rent a boat and bring my best friend and her two boys for the day. It's been too long since I've been around the board and fishing, hoping to change both in the near future and looking forward to getting back in touch with everyone.

Just looked at my schedule, discovered I messed up, I'm off for the two weeks following, not the week of....might have to do some fancy foot work to get the Friday off....Dang!!!
