Well I figuerd I should find out why. A little digging this is what I found.. I know kinda off topic.. http://www.fuel-testers.com/expiration_of_ethanol_gas.html
Ethanol is hydroscopic
-
Hey man sounds like you've already have an opinion on this subject. You asked. I don't know why but I do know you put ethanol fuel in your boat I'll but no corn in mine... Let them sit for a month or so. Mine will run better. I think the lubricating properties of the fuel are outweighed by the oil you mix it with.

I would be all over that walleye guided trip if I diddnt just lake an "unseen vacation" and start my new job on the 21st.

The fuel with ethanol I find dosent have the same "shelf life". 30days or so is all I trust it .. So in a chainsaw that gets used once or twice a year can gum up carbs. Or in a boat that dosent get used everyweekend. I have found with experiance running ethanol free fuel in all my 2strokes cuts down on carb matinence considerably. The higer octane rating is in most cases not needed but premium fuel is the only ethanol free fuel I can find
-
Premium has zero ethanol in it. You don't need it for the octane rating just the no ethanol factor 2strokes and ethanol don't play nice

Wow. So sad. My uncle went through on sturgon years ago but I can't imagine loosing my father. Like others have said if you need anything let us know.

"As for "safe" ice.. it's only as safe as you make it to be. We all have our own thresholds for go.. no go... and what we go with.".
I couldent agree more.. I have bin fishing simcoe for 23 years have havent bin for a swim yet. Came close about 15years ago myself my father and my grandpa went to get our huts off at the end of the season. Ice was fine all day..on the way home it had blown 60ft off shore. I wish i had a camcorder that day waterskipping a bravo 250 with an iceshack in tow...

I was out yesterday.. There was deff. more than 4 inches where i was......... I mean the ice is really unsafe dont come and fish there.......
-
Theres one there today. I have a plan i think im gonna try 20th sdrd. Looks like acces on google then tow allong shore from there
-
Anyone know another acess other than the billygoat hill to get my permanant hut off bp ?
-
I like to lay on the ice and play keepaway from the small ones. Once you get the school in a frenzy you can jigg the school right up to under the hole... Half the fun of perch fishing for me im a big kid at heart.
-
Make shure you have a boaters licence i got a ticket for that in washago... Got pulled over by the huge greatlakes boat they have stationed there
-
Ps dont go wandering around lake simcoe blindly you will go for a cold bath if you do. 95 percent of the laker grounds are not sfe right now.. And probably 100 percent unsafe by this weekend

Hey guys i finaly got out on some safe ice in laker grounds on sunday.. I was on the ice for 8am. Was already a crowd out there i popped some holes in 120 fow marking fish all day long no big schools but lots of lookers. It was realy fustrating i just couldent get em to turn. Another fustrating thing was my laker tackle tray was left on the kitchen table at home. I fished all day with a small half and half willians(perch size) and a 1/8th oz buckshot spoon (not exactly my confidence lures). And wouldent ya know billm i snagged a laker lol. I was fighin this fish for 10 min finaly get it to the hole and it was hooked behind the gills i thought i had a twentypounder on
it was quickly released .....other than that an un eventfull day. Was nice to be out ice was a solid 5inches where i was. I did see bunch of lakers caught on sunday and 1 whitefish. A slow day fishins better than a day at work.

Tybo. That's wrong. Higer octane fuel is made for higher compression engine's, it does not and can not affect the compression of an engine that would require an alteration in the dimensions of the the bore, stroke or cylinderhead. An octane rating is a numerical figure that relates to how much squish can applied to the fuel before it detonates due to compression. If this happens (running regular in a hi-comp. Motor). The fuel detonates while the piston is still moving upwards... The damage is like a head on collision and results in cracked pistons, bent conecting rods and cylinder head damage. Not trying to be a dick tybo but the statement you made is wrong. No damage can occur from running a higer octane rating than nessacary except to wallet.
