  1. Headed up thursday got there around 1 am. partyied till the sun came up ( it was my buddys batchelor party)...thats when the trouble began.. we ran my boat to the launch when we got back the skiboat wouldent get on plane...i pulled the plugs and quickley found a melted top cylinder. we pull a jhonson 9.9 out of the boat shed, but it on a 14 ft tinny and it wont start. no spark. now we have six guys and one 14 ft boat....i sacrificed my trolling motor for the cause and we slapped it on the tinney. 2 boats agan.

we were gonna fish for walleye but we modified the rules of the tourney due to lack of horsepower.

    the new rules

any fish the size of your foot qualifies

total fish per boat ( current leaders diddnt have to get up to grab beer that night)

bigest fish of the weekend ( 5lb pike got a nice lure)

and most qualifing fish (individual) ( got a nice lure)

fishing wasent the best we boated a ton of fish but no real size..heres a few of the better ones

i did sneak out one morning to the west arm of the lake in search of lakers marked a ton but couldent get any to commit.

i had a blast as well as all who attended if your out on sharbot lake watch for rocks there plentifull and unmarked.

  2. Headed to sharbot lake on Thursday , For a three day batchelor party walleye tourney. What depths should I target mid summer? Would trolling dipsies with cranks and spoons be a good place to start? I have no clue the only place I fish for walleyes is the lower French its pretty simple up there. Sharbot is a med. sized lake with lots of deep water by the looks of it. Any advise will be put to good use. Thanks.

  3. " allow the "treated" gas to flow into all of the engine parts". If he was talking about a two stroke I would get a new mechanic. . Proper fogging oil will take care of your crank seals, bearings and cylinder walls. I have never seen a carb bowl gasket "dry up". Or a fuel pump diaphragm either in one off season. To each his own. Last thing I want is any fuel sitting in my carbs all off season. A four stroke.. I'm not sure i would want my injectors wet or not but I'm no four stroke guru, my forte is two strokes.

  4. don't go with fenwick. they are known for snapping. stick with a nice shimano clarus or convergence, great rods for the money. for the reel stick with a shimano, will never let you down.

The only one I ever snapped was in my car window when I forgot the rod was sticking out when I was too lazy to break it down and moving a few miles upstream. My 11 ft hmxs has landed many a fresh huron rainbow in the rivers and never put up a fuss. To each his own I guess...I love fenwick,s

  5. Fuel lines have degraded since the inside since the beginning of the combustion engine. Ive had them go in cars, I find the ethanol fuel is harder on the carbs than the lines, Forget stabil and all that crap. Start your motor , shut off fuel, and let run till it stalls. Then turn it over and spray fogging oil down the carb with the butterfly's open. ..works for all my motors. No issues. I do tear down the carbs on the sleds at the beginning of every winter as they are tuned on the ragged edge of lean. Snow blowers, weed eaters and chainsaws get put away dry and fogged and rarely have any issues.
