  2. Yes make sure you grease the bearings on the trailer right away. I overlooked this when I first got my boat and had to relace the axle on my trailer.
  3. Get the book Precision Trolling, tells you how much line to let out in order to get the bait to the depth you want.
  4. biggest one time purchase was around $800. But there have been many purchases. Since the New Year I have dropped about $3000 on gear and redoing the interior of my boat.

  9. Well done Cliff, good post. The only thing I would add to that is that with a pup they are going to push boundaries to see what they can get away with. So make sure that you are firm with the dog. When you are training the pup it is important that you establish yourself as the Alpha. When it does something bad grab it by the snout and give a good deep loud growling no. Do that everytime, cosistency and repitition is the most important thing when training a dog.
  10. I agree, we almost have the makings for a good book! For me it would be culvert hopping with my Grandpa around Halton Hills. We would go out in the backyard on the Friday night after dark picking dew worms. Then up at the crack of dawn Saturday morning and off we would go to hit all the little bridges running over any little stream. Down the bank and cast under the bridge, ususally with a small Mepps and a worm. Didn't catch any big trophy fish but sure loved taking the little ones home that Nan would fry up for us. I lost my Grandpa when I was 7, he was 52. Sure wish he had stayed around a little longer.
  11. Angling Specialties has trout roe, I picked up some yesterday. They are on Central Parkway between Mavis and Hurontario. Kind of hard to find but they are in the strip mall all Confederation. Yellow sign.
  12. Do you mind if I ask what settings you use to get that water effect? I am new to the SLR world and haven't venturd into the manual end of things yet. I love the way that water looks.
  13. Erindale is open all year from what I have read, anything south of the 403 bridge for the Credit is open.
  14. what type of hook do I use and how many split shots
  15. Hey Guys So I bought myself a 13' St Croix with an Adcock Stanton centre pin reel. Thinking about going out on Friday to give it a try. Having never done this before I really have no idea where to begin. Any pointers on where to try would be appreciated, I am living in Georgetown just west of Brampton. Again I have never done this so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
  16. Thanks Laker! What applications will you be using yours for?
  17. Have been looking for used ones, any suggestions on places to look?
  18. Left handed retrieve is a must
  19. Hey Guys Looking to buy a couple of baitcasting reels. The first one will be for pike fishing/bottom bouncing. This reel will go on a St Croix Premier 6'10", heavy power, mod-fast action rod. The other will be used for bass fishing on a St Croix Big Jig Bass Series rod, 7'3", extra heavy power, fast action. I have never bought baitcasting reels before so any advice would be appreciated.
  20. I am not sure about the derby tickets. I do know you can get them at JBs Fishing Depot which is close to where I am. Now if I can have the seat base I could pick up derby tickets for you and bring them with me. Let me know if you are interested in doing that.
  21. I have a trailer at Perfect Vue, see you there!
  22. I just bought my first DSLR a feww weeks ago and got the D40X (10 MP). I have used it a few times and love it. Haven't gotten into any manual settings as of yet but just turn it on and it takes awesome pictures.
  23. EC1, my dog couldn't stand the smell. He would roll his face around on the ground like crazy!!
  24. My dog has been sprayed 3 times...he is a curious fellow! I took him to the vet all 3 times, the stuff they use worked very well, no skunk smell left at all. It cost $50 but was well worth it.
  25. I have a 15 ft bowrider. I am converting the seats in the front to a deck and placing the livewell in between where the seats used to be in the middle of the boat. Here is an image
