  1. I have been using Olympus Stylus cameras for close to 10 years for recording my fishing trips.

They have been dropped, kicked, submerged and used at -40 without issue.

As far as I know the Fuji's are very similar.

I picked up my last Olympus off Olympus direct through their ebay store.

They sell off refurbed units (with warranty and free shipping) and the savings are really good.

I don't see them having any up right now but another retailer cybershops has a bunch up with $10 shipping.

  2. I just registered and was amazed at the stated dealer mark up's (I was on the Lund page)much higher than the auto industry. They have a pretty hefty copyright infringement statement to I thought better than to post the link here. Any one want any data for now (within reason) PM me.

    Yeah, that's pretty surprising.

Their markup's are nearly double that of Crestliner's and Yamaha's.

On a positive note, there's a lot of wiggle room to bargain with them and hammer out a decent price. :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

  3. No.. I mean sleep apnea. I was diagnosed 7 years ago with it. Before I had it in check I could not drive more then 45 minutes with out getting very tired and starting to node off behind the wheel.

    FYI

Sleep apnea is a condition where you stop bretheing whil asleep.

Narcolepsy is a condition where you fall asleep without warning.

  4. The problem with towing with a car is most are now front wheel drive and you could have issues on steeper ramps. Smaller vehicles also have smaller engines with less torque to get you going from a stop. Brakes can be another issue.

That all said I have had friends tow with VW diesels and had no issues at all.

One friend routinely towed with a diesel Jetta and I was amazed at how well it did.

Your boat really doesn't weigh all that much but it would be too much for most small vehicles as most of the smaller vehicles have a 1000# tow rating if they have one at all.

If you really wanted to be safe I would go for a compact pickup (Ford Ranger, Mazda, Toyota, etc)a compact suv (Ford Escape, or similar) or minivan. I would also get a V6 as a little 4 banger would have to work too hard.

When I was between trucks I did move my 18' aluminum w/90 OB around with my Honda Civic but I would never take it on the roads or try to launch with it. I just moved it from one parking area to another on my lot.

  5. One overlooked rod these days is the fenwick riggerstik twist guides. I've been running these for 20 years and just love them. Not sure who still sells these. Spring baits for me are a lot of minnow baits - 4". Renosky's and rapalas, storm. I have older Abu 7000 and have been looking at the rapala hydros this year. Very good reviews.

I have a gaggle of those rods too and have also been using them for about the same amount of time. :clapping::clapping:

  6. They do it at the end of the ice fishing season. You still have 3 months left.

They didn't do it last year either.

When they have had it in the past it has been at the same time as down South which was awesome as we could use the new goodies right away. :thumbsup_anim:
