  1. My dad moved into an LTC in London just before all hell broke loose.

When we were looking at facilities I noticed that some looked better than others.

We picked 2 and put them on our list. He got into the one I wanted and it has been pretty good so far.

There are a lot of LTCs in London (the lady we were working with gave us the list) and the price is the same across all facilities on their list. Dad's in a private room that costs $2,500/mo which is $4,000/mo cheaper than the expensive private retirement home he was in previously.

Dad's LTC did have some COVID in it but they were able to isolate it to one floor and eradicate it. Nice to know his home is COVID free now.

This has been tough on him as he's lonely without any visitors and being locked down. I do call him weekly to try and raise his spirits though that only goes so far.

Appearently I have inner tubes in my tires.  That's what the guy at Canadian Tire told me.  He said that they cannot fix it because they don't service wheels with inner tubes.  I am hoping my local guy is open on Monday so I can get it taken car of soon.

They usually only put tubes in trailer tires if the beads are too corroded to seal.

Might be time for new rims if this is true.

  3. Can't say I have.

My current ones are 13 or 14  years old and haven't had issues.

I do keep my boat parked inside a portable garage most of the time so the weather doesn't get to them.

It also gets way freaking colder her than there in the winter so if you thought things were going to break the brutal cold would mess something up.

Maybe there are sharp edges on the rims where the valves are that are breaking them or the holes are too big and during winter lose air due to shrinkage.

An old friend used to own and charter a 40 foot Post Sportfish in Port Credit, then he upgraded to a 42,  I though "what only 2 feet "  it was 2 foot wider too, big difference. His favourite saying  " you don't own a real boat until you get to sleep in a real bed " he lived year round on them.

My buddy lived in his 36' Hatteras on J dock in Pt. Credit for years.

Had a lot of good times on that boat.

The engine popped/died crossing the airport fence and he grabbed as much altitude as he could.

    I thought the same.

Too bad it happened so fast and they weren't able to eject at the top of the turn/stall.

Wondering if the engine sucked in a bird?

  6. Some sad news.

This home was one that I was looking to get dad into but crossed it off the list as it was mostly dementia patients. The one he is in (moved on March 12th) just before all hell broke loose is a couple of miles away.

They have the Rona in his home as well but it has been held to one floor that is not his. At least last I heard.

We haven't even been able to move his stuff from his old retirement home since everything has been locked down.
