Such a beauty weekend out there. Pity the pannies were not as co-operative. Found a school of "monster" crappie
The odd sunfish and the first kitty of the season.
Far too many LMB mixed in with the panfish and very agressive.
Casey got to go on his first fishing expedition. His first introduction to the prey.
Casey meet dinner.
After a long day outdoors it was time to kick back and relax, while watching the Sens take a fall.

You are operating a motorized vessel on a public waterway. I'm still amazed that it is not a requirement considering just about every other motorized recreational vehicle, ie; skidoo, atv, require insurance Even though boater insurance is not mandatory at this time, good sense would dictate you have some manner of coverage

Let me introduce you all to Casey.
Took him a couple of days to settle in, but he's ruling the roost now. Quite the little rascal at 14 weeks. Loves chewing on my feet.

Figured as much, and rightly so.
Just don't seem right. Tie up the courts with senseless tickets while reported drug dealers run free in the streets to continue doing business.

It's OK to pollute our waterways, lands, fields. A lot of what you eat today comes from countries with no envitonmental and health regulations anyway. Why should our country be any different?

Fishing from shore it is micro tubes and small twisters, or a white spinnerbait. In a boat, I always have lots of

The liberals would do the exact same thing, if given the chance. Big money lobbies and campaign contributors call the shots. Elections are now nothing more than window dressing.

I really don't see how they could be charged with anything .
Is there an actual law that says they can't go on the ice, or did they disobey an order from police ??
I'm not being a smart azz, but although what they did was totally reckless and maybe even stupid, I believe it was still totally legal.
Or did I miss something ??
There are big sections of the CCOC which can be applied. The criminal code is not that black and white. It was always written with lots of room for interpretation. You can be guilty of negligence by your actions or a failure to act. It can be with or without intent.
Did their actions put others at risk? The rescuers were placed at risk
Did their actions result in damage to property or loss of revenue? Taxpayer money was wasted and public equipment damaged.
Was not a minor also placed at risk? A 12 year old boy.
More than adequate grounds for criminal or civic charges.
-
There are numerous charges that could be laid. Mischief, endangerment, or negligence clauses that cover any act, or failure to act, which causes damage, harm, or public risk.

Bruce, what are you using as a tartar sauce? looks good???
That there is 1000 Islands. I had run out of homemade.
Home made is simple. 1 tbsp sweet relish, 2-3 tbsp salad dressing, pinch of cream of tartar (or leave it out)

But you live in the "Banana Belt"
And BillyBob is south of me.

Been at it for a couple of weeks.

A lot of them seem to like the taste of your left thumb. Ever think of using it as bait?
Actually, pike really like the taste of that thumb.

Good mix of pannies. What's this? White bass? White perch?

Surprisingly, somebody else was catching all the WGSF.

I think Jack will have to be careful of her, she looks taller than him already!!!!
That way she'll keep Jack in line

If you don't want to taste the fish, do what McD's does to their sandwich, smother in Thousand Islands dressing. Try some of the many other sauces out there for camouflaging fish. DIll sauce, mustard cream sauce, tartar sauce, salsa, tomato sauce, etc...........

Hijack the child, sneak her out of school, take her out often and spoil her rotten looks like she had a fun time, and sounds like Gramps is prouder than a peacock.

Thank you for sharing those little blasts from the past. They sure bring back memories. I have an old glass rod from my childhood that I resurrect once a year and use for memories sake. I hope, this year, to take my Grampa's old Luxor off the shelf for a day of fishin. Just have to respool it with some good old dacron first.

I think you got way more bang for the buck following plan "B". You also got a day you'll not likely forget.
