Thanks lew.... funny you mention Wendover cause just got back from there.... tried a few hours but no bite The only thing we "whitespinnerbait aka Paul and I" got was cold feet and fingers..... man was it ever cold out on the river this afternoon Guess Musky will have to wait til next year for me.... if you ever plan a trip down there, let me know and we could join you..... would be like a mini G2G
  6. I remember correctly Kevin.... I was the one that netted the beast... Look at it Unbelievable.... Monster speck
  7. Hey Simon, Must feel real good to be on ice today..... You did not get any fish but man I'm jelous Can't wait for the ice to get to a safe thickness so that I and the other two amigos "whitespinnerbait and fishing 24/7" can get out there and enjoy a day or half a day of hard water fishing Thanks for sharing Leechman
  8. COOL Simon.... if you are allowed live minnows, give it a try.... Bass or any species can't resist them.... remember simple setup or try a spoon "william wobbler" of some sort with a jiggin rod.... just never know
  9. Great report and pics ehg Kudos for braving mother nature and getting real nice mix bag of fish Thanks for sharing Leechman

  20. Great introduction Kevin WTG Glad you finally decided to join..... best site on the planet and lots of good folks Congratulation on your year end fishing and welcome to OFC Are you ready for hard water now?? Jacques
  21. Merci Brian
  22. Thanks Simon, All those bass were caught on a tip-up rigged with hook and minnow...... On the Ottawa river, we are allowed live minnows but anywhere else, only allowed dead frozen minnows. Some of my buddies use jiggin rods rigged with a spoon and were catching bass. Not sure when bass season closes in Ontario, if I were you, I'd check the Ont. MNR regs for your region. Out here in Quebec, it closes March 31st, 2009. Jacques
  23. Thanks everyone for the kind words It sure was a fun year and looking forward to hard water Good luck to all of you and play it safe on hard water The big O has lots to offer and is the only zone that we can fish with live minnows as bait If you ever want to try Lac St-Marie, I'd be more then happy to show you some of my hot spots Now if I can only catch a musky.... it be a great way to end the softwater season I let them go simply because I tried one once and find them too oily.... lots of fat on them. I prefer the lake cats.... a lot smaller and very tasty
  24. Great report, pics and videos Mike Congratulation to all of you Thanks for taking the time to redo your report and sharing it with us There's only one word that come to mind and it's "AWESOME" Again great job Mike Leechman
