Hi ya Mark If I may,you can get rid of the twist by removeing the hook and wieght and letting the line out while idaling in low speed.Let line free spool off the rel for a hundred yeard or so,then reel back in the line.

That is SOOOOOOOO old school JBM. L M A O J/K Bud as you know.LOL Try this drop shot

Ok about the blast off thing here. Not all the boats or half the field takes off at the same time. There is a 10-20 seconds between boats.I see it and it,s not like what you all say.You guys watch to much American TV.LOL I have one of the slowest and smallest boats in the field. Once you know what you are doing or capable of doing,it,s not all that bad. As for the helmet thing,I have seen only two boaters and non boaters wear them,,,,,,,,,,,Oh they were on a Bullet.Fastest thing I have ever seen. I have also gotten to be a non boater with many of the top guys in the sport, and not once, did I feel I or we were in danger. Know you ride and know your limits. Smaller lakes can be a challange, but when you are blasting out of big waters, theres lots of room.

Cliff he runs a GOLBY Charter.LOL J/K My thoughts on the mag thing is, people look and trash. If it catch,s thier eye, then they will keep it around or say hey I remember seeing something about a charter, but the mag is in the trash. Im thinking for the price to run banners on sites,is the way to go. WORD OF MOUTH AND THE INTERNET IS BEST.Just my opinion. Can I get a cut here too boss?

Right now theres lots of perch and small bass. As I stated in SA thread, the action will pick up soon and jumbo perch and many 1-2 pound bass move in. I dont know what draws them in everytime of this year, but the shore fishing is just as good as the boat fishing.

I,ll try to explain. Ok I was put on to the Owner drop shot hook by Simon Frost and David Chong. It says drop shot hook on the package.Dont let the thin hook scare you.It is sharp and strong. You got the polamer knot correct. Now you take the lead end and feed it back through the eye of the hook and pull it through. When held tight, the hook should be facing upwards. Hope that helps.

Yeah right, and I caught a rainbow in the mouth of tiffin river too.
-
The outer break wall at the Barrie Marina, and the break wall at Heritage Park. Fishing will pick up there soon.
-
Thanks for the prefish tour Steve.LOL Nice job on the vid.

I needed two coffees just to catch up on this one. We went from crazy boaters to getting buzzed by boats, boaters card, insurance, the consitution oh wait, first the gun reg then the constitution then to the history of our country,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Did this thread make anyone change thier minds about getting insurance????????????????? Morning all. Let the game continue.LOL BTW 1983 RANGER 18 FT.,1995 115 MARINER 1983 RANGER TRAIL TRAILER,1,000,000 DOLLARS LIABILITY COVER,FULL REPLACEMENT VALUE WITH 1000 DEDUCTABLE. $245 A YEAR. First of all it is required by the tourney organization second, thats a cheap price to pay for piece of mind.

Think Im next.LOL I hear what you are saying canadianguy33.All joking aside and the Bull, like Rick says,it covers you and those that are effected.IMO.No matter what we think/feel about the goverments policys or laws. God knows,I would hate to be the one on either end of a boating/car accident, but atleast I know I did my part.

Although lake Simcoe is not one of those small lakes,I still see the older fellas still lead core/steel lining out there and I must say, they still get thier fish and it,s a treat to watch. Im betting they sit there and laugh at all the guys out there with the newest up to date riggers and here they still do it old school and still catching them. Great report Scuro TFS.

Thats the word on the lake these days. LOL
-
Thanks for the offer Rickster, but the wife already has that on me,think they call it life insurance.LOL
-
Guess so
-
I can relate to that CC. Nice catching there. Got to love those pad bites.

Well if you wait another month or so,you,ll have more perch and 2 pound bass then you can handle.Just watch for the massive crowd out in front of the beach. Use mini tube baits and drop shot some small baits. Right now that area is pretty screwed up with the new pipe line being put out there.Fishing in the bay will pick up soon. It,s not really a spring summer bay to fish unless you know spots. I will give you this. Head out from the beach in 40 fow. There you will find perch and whities.Small hammered williams work best. Sorry,no bass spots.LOL
-
WOW Im thinking you have bird crap on your shoulder or your just one of those guys that will never run into a boat or a dock or god forbid, not see a swimmer in the water and hit them. Yes this may sound rash, but like they say,if it can happen, it will happen. When I had my 14ft tinny I had insurance. I believe Gerrit said it best. Thanks bro. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. Just to add. I like most DONT LIKE THE HANDCUFFING/BIG BROTHER system that the goverment is putting us under, but you got to appriciate the fact that you are more protected with the newer laws then say back in the 60,s,70,s and 80,s. Really,if you look at it,whats a few hundred bucks to be safe and have a peace of mind. No worries Rick. You know I like to pick on ya.LOL
-
Who is this Mr.Chong guy? Why is he fishing my bay .LOL
-
Question: can i use sunfish or gobies as bait?
misfish replied to gforce's topic in General Discussion
I believe theres someone here that says crush gobies.LOL -
Im thinking your just not fishing in the right spots on the Bay as I live right there and so do a few others here and do well. You just have to realise the bay is deep and the water temps here are much slower to warm up then the big lake. What have you been using out there?
-
So Im thinking here, that you believe owners of under 16 ft are any different then those that own larger? Ever seen a couple of drunk,n teens zip and twist and turn with acouple of 12 ft tinnys with 9.9,s on them playing dodge boat. I believe if it,s powered by machine, you need insurance. Will this help, probly not,but atleast everyone pays and is covered.
-
Thanks for the report. As for the fish pic,s,When previewing them on your pc,rotate them. Then all will be good.LOL TFS
-
Hope to see you guys out there. You,ll have a blast. Again, great looking fish guys.

I,ll take one of these please. Another boat out there not mentioned and have heard they are fast aswell is the Bass Cat. Bass cat Bass Cat received the highest numerical score among fiberglass bass boats in the proprietary J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Boat Competitive Information StudySM. Study based on 12,140 total responses, and measures 6 bass boat brands and owner opinion of 2005 and 2006 model year boats registered June 2005-May 2006. Includes fiberglass performance bass boats 16+feet that typically use larger outboards. Proprietary study results are based on experiences and perceptions of owners surveyed September-October 2006.
