CTC sells a Nautilus deep cycle power pack/booster with nav lights. It was on sale 2 weeks ago but is regularily priced at $160. Good investment if you are thinking of running a trolling motor.
Wow! Nice fish. Tomorrow will be day 3 for me on Lake O and only 2 small browns so far. Today was way too windy. The offer is still open to anyone that wants to join. Launching in Burlington around 9 or 10. I'll check tomorrow morning for any takers.
Hey Mike I was wondering if the pompano are still hitting on those yellow jigs with a teaser or if its something different now. I'm heading down to St. Petes on Friday.
I would go for the 4 stroke. I had the problems trolling slow enough with a 125 Merc on a 18' aluminum so I use a kicker motor and save fuel and engine life on the expensive motor.
Hi Anton, with regards to losing half of the rod; when putting the sections together offset the two halves by a 1/4 turn, snug them together then align the eyelets. This should lock the sections together.
Keep trying for that pike!
For any of you that just can't wait, trout season opens in a week in New York State. Some of the streams and rivers have conditional all year trout fishing. Was down this past weekend and had some good action with browns (trying to load some pictures off my phone). Worth the drive!
I was at Dicks Sporting Goods today (N.Y.) and they have a wicked deal on this week for a 12.5' Islander Angler. Has three rod holders, dry storage, bungee tie downs, rear storage and more. Check it out. $499 reg $799
Not much difference between g-loomis and St.Croix until you need warranty work done. G-loomis gives retailers a problem sending out rods for coverage.
Try the avid series (St. Croix) They make a 6'6 walleye rod with fuji guides that has wicked feel. Runs about $130 + lifetime warranty.
If you are still looking? I can probably help you out next week.
Running water lines will be easy but is there a rough-in for the drain? The only solution would be a saniflo type pumping toilet or a jack hammer to open up the floor.
