Agreed. funny thing is if they park on the street i mentioned originally there is only parking for 2 vehicles max and the homeowners are quick to call the enforcement for a tow and they act quick. Seen it many times lol

Wasn't planning on fishing. Went to check the ice and saw guys out there. When in Rome.........

I realize the issue now. I was just pissed of the attitude towards me saying that the whole thread should be removed. I also realized we're lifers...so may as well stick around

Please do not post VERY SPECIFIC information on fishing spots, ie pinpoint locations and maps. It is our belief that sharing this type of knowledge to the general public is not at all good for the resource itself. When communicating info on spots, please keep it to email or a PM. No where does it say no lake names and no where did I say exactly where I was on the lake nor how deep I was fishing.

Delete it if you must and I'll delete my profile. Didn't realize it was against the law to share info about fishing on a fishing forum and that there were secret lakes that no one knows about in southern Ontario. Think I'll take my info and advice elsewhere. Nice knowing you guys.

Modified it just a little as I was getting the same vibes from other boards as well...

I wouldn't say tons of pressure. today there were about 8-10 of us. In middle of winter you can see as many as 30-40. Pike yes and some nice ones too. Need live minnows for those guys. I don't mind Wayne. Not like the lake is a secret. 3/4 of the shoreline is public access and you can see most of the lake from anywhere you enter and all the guys are in the one spot for the slabs. It's not hard to figure out.

Went to check out a lake this afternoon. Saw about 8 guys out there so out I went. Fished with a couple guys that I met last year...still don't know their names lol. We saw a newer ski-doo with two kids on it ripping up and down the lake and then they headed straight for the open water. when they hit the slush it bogged down but luckily the machine had enough power to overcome it and ride the water. Would have been real scary as there is a good undertow there to the dam. They went off the lake and had to ride the road to where ever and didn't see them anymore. Anyhoo, I got there around 1:30 and left around 4. Caught about a dozen and let most go as one of the other guys gave me some when he left. Got mine on a berkley 2" minnow and a perch like tube. The other guys were using grubs. The bite was really hot before i got there and tapered off quickly lol. They stayed right below us and didn't have to move much. Was a good first ice day.

The gun I want doesn't come with a rifled barrel. I have no experience with rifled slugs. Can you shoot them from a smooth barrel? Or would it be the same effect as any normal slug in a smooth barrel?

Where would you get those nowadays?

Hey guys. I will be getting back into hunting again next year. I am in the process of converting from a NFLD license to an ONT license. I am planing to buy a universal shot gun for waterfowl, turkey, small game, and deer. Now I have never hunted deer and was wondering what kind of reach would a good buckshot have with a full or extra full choke to take down a deer. The gun I plan on getting. www.winchesterguns.com/products/catalog/detail.asp?family=021C&mid=512270 Thanks guys, Curt

Anyone Make Their Own Adult Beverages?
nancur373 replied to DRIFTER_016's topic in General Discussion
Rum, whiskey or any spirits for that matter get their flavor from a variety of aspects. Starting with the mash recipe, fermentation temp, what region the ingredients come from, type of still you use, how many distillations you do, type of aging (barrels, sticks, chips) and what kind of wood you use, what proof the spirits are aged at, how long it ages, and how its blended after aging. So in short, unless you have the recipe from the manufacturer you're outta luck... -

About to make some of my popular Apple Pie. and maybe some more Irish Creme for the holidays -
My boys are 6, 4, and 3. My girl 16 months. Since they could crawl they been involved in fishing and hunting. When I'm cleaning fish the like nothing better than to be elbow deep in guts. My 6 year old is self sufficient in the catching dept. ties his own lures, baits, casts and retrieves. My 4 year old still needs help tying the hook. My 6 year old was starting to fillet fish this fall and I hope for him to get more practice over this winter. These are from a couple years back. In Newfoundland we call these peas....cod roe sacks Wrinkles....sea snails Can't forget the rabbits. If they'll put up with that smell they'll clean any animal. And the kitty Sorry to hijack your thread but just so you get the point...lol
