yeah, my vet told me to try and stay away from the corn because my pup has a sensitive stomach and he seems happier with the new food too so it's a win win. Might be 20 bucks more than the cheap stuff but it's worth it in the end. I guess you get what you pay for. Kind of like human food, I'd love to eat t-bones and prime rib everyday but can't afford it, but in the same way you can't eat TV dinners everyday and expect to be healthy.

Just look at the ingredients. They list the ingredients in order or quantity, so there is more of the first ingredient then the second etc. You want to try to stay away from corn or any other corn variations especially as a top ten ingredient. Just think of how our stomachs digest corn, not very good, same as a dog.

I feed my pup Nutro Natural Choice Chicken meal, rice and oatmeal formula. It's about 30-40 bucks for 8kgs up here in North Bay at Pet Valu so it's pricey but my pup likes it. I'm sure you could find it cheaper in the city though. I found that when he was eating the Dog Chow from purina (corn was the top ingredient on this food) he would have the sh!ts really bad and take forever to crap but with this food he is relatively normal.

I've seen the Ardent culling system and I must say it's pretty nice. I'm looking into one of their flipping reels, they look sweet also.

Holdfast isn't far off. I'm a bit young for Pollocks days as gm but the habs play a weak style of hockey. We saw it last year in the playoffs and they are showing their true colours now. They have no size and no heart. The only reason they won a few games earlier in the season is their goaltending and now look where that is. They have a lot of work to do this offseason and some big decisions to make.

It's a Okuma Sheffield Gold S1002 ad the title states. It's new and comes with case. I am just getting into float fishing so would this be a good reel to start with? This reel is on eBay and I was just wondering what it would go for in stores?

Yeah I was looking at my curado that I bought a couple weeks back and saw there was a warranty card in the box. I haven't filled them out before, it'll be interesting to see what people say. Good question!

Front office mostly French, coach is/was French, they want more players from Quebec. Not that its a bad thing but other teams have a multi cultural mix.

Are you serious??? Have a look at their roster, more Europeans and Americans than anything. Koivu, Kovalev, Hamerlik, Lang, Kosteatsyn bros...

I don't know if they think they need more french players but they need a little size up front and if their name is Jean Guy who cares as long as they can hit and have a bit of skill.

They are too small up front and have no offence on the back end. Half the team are UFA which leads to too much "I" and not enough team. Their captain is awful. Goalies are both inconsistent.

The guys have covered what to do as far as tossing light plastics. As for the ML casting rods, I have a couple Shimano Clarus rods that are ML that are $90 bucks at lebaron. They are 6'6" and I like them, they aren't too light that you have to worry about it though but they are a 1 piece rod. Model number CLC-66MLA if you want to look them up.

TomTom 720 for me. TigerDirect had refurbs over Xmas for a good price. Very easily customizable (like downloading all the Tim Horton locations from TomTom Home software)

 

Maverick, have you enabled the Voice entry feature on the 720? There is a simple trick to turning it on (Search it on TomTom Forum). Once you do, you get the ability to "speak" your destination in just like the more expensive ones.

Yeah I have, great feature isn't it. Much easier than typing the destinations. It was my first refurb product that I had purchased and I was a bit skeptical but I couldn't tell the difference between that and a new one other than the receipt. It has performed great, easily hooked up to my cell phone and automatically downloaded my phonebook. I haven't downloaded the Timmies locations though, gonna have to do that

The one "feature" that Garmin has is that their data is updated annually. None of them will ever be perfect in this regard but at least with Garmin there are regular updates.

I have a TomTom GO 720 and it has been great. The TomToms also have regular updates and they have user updates that you can choose to get or not, it's up to you. You can also update the map if you find something different than what is displayed. It has bluetooth so you can connect your phone, has the ability to play the sound on your car stereo speakers and the one thing i like about this model is that I can load music on it or on an SD card and it plays it through the car's radio through the FM Transmitter built in. Usually most FM transmitters are garbage but this one works quite well. I bought an 8GB HD SD card and it works great. I got mine of eBay and it was refurb. Got it for less and 1/2 the price Future Shop was selling it for and I haven't had any troubles with it, even sitting in the car during -40 nights. Garmins are a great gps but all TomTom does is car gps so they are dedicated. Either will be good choices. Check CNET reviews before you get one though, they usually are pretty good with their video reviews on most products.

I have a 16ft Gruuman aluminum canoe. It's pretty light and very sturdy. I haven't portaged with it yet but this summer I'll be putting it to the test. My grandfather has a sportspal and it has been to hell and back and still goes fine. I think both the Gruuman and Sportspal are both aluminum. If you are going to do a lot of portaging then you are going to look for something light, if you are only going to do a bit of portaging then you can sacrifice some added weight for other things that might interest you.

As far as the 12footer I would assume 9.9 max but might be less.

Steelhead in the Georgian Bay tributaries. I've never fished them but I think this is the time of year for them, or pretty soon anyway.

This is the style that we use for our canoe and inflatable. We have a 6 and 8 pound which both work great on their own and better together to stop spinning. They come heavier if needed. They fold up into a small carrying case which takes up no room at all in the boat.

I got a TomTom and can't complain. I have seen the Nextar in stores but haven't used one. Buy it, try it out and if it's no good, take t back.

Looked familiar and saw where you were from, I spent a summer up at Blue Mountain and there were tons of orchards all around there. Must be great places for deer for sure.

lol You gotta love YK, polar bear dip on July 1st. Funny thing about up there is that everyone has a $20k+ boat and they use it for 3 months of the year. I'll have to give my dad a shout tonight and see how he's enjoying his spring up there. Enjoy that spring Drifter...in June.

I got the "Algonquin Region Backroad Mapbook 2nd Ed." from the Walmart in North Bay. It was the same price as they offer on their site. I didn't see the fishing specific books at walmart so i might be making an online order for another book or 2 for different regions.
