Oshawa marina was closed many years ago due to contaminated soil from past land use. Lots of people put kayaks and canoes in at the simcoe st bridge and you can park close to the beach so if your boat is carryable then you should be fine.

I use gulp minnows religiously, they work fantastic on walleyes, and even i can say theres still definitely a time and place where minnows/leeches cannot be beat. I also dont have gobies/sunfish/any other panfish to contend with.

What Bill said. I found some great brookie water when i used to live around the block from you...even found some nice browns in the mix. I also found it really slowed down in the summer so it should pick up in a couple weeks once waters cooled down.

Fly fishing was always the most effective for me. I had some 10-15 fish days where i couldnt get them to touch a spinner or worm. Size 8 - 12 bead head nymphs under an indicator are deadly.

The CanadaMaps app is great for navigating the maze of forest access trails, and a good radar app is helpful as well, but I use my garmin for everything else.

I live around Kipawa, and I've seen more partridge this year then i ever have in this area and everyone else is saying the exact same thing. Not exactly where you will be, but I'm betting you'll see plenty of birds. Good luck

I have no idea what you're getting at. Small shops tend to carry the exact same baits (with a few exceptions of course) and brands as the big guys except for the bargain bin junk that every small shop seems to have.

Rapalas, mepps, and Williams have stood the test of time for a reason.

On that note, I wish panther Martins were more readily available in shops.
