Unreal. You wont soon be forgetting that trip, and you mustve learned more than you ever could have imagined about river fishing.

Great stuff. I grew up just down the road from there and only discovered the awesome pike fishing in there a year or two before i left. Tons of toothy critters in there early spring but never landed any monsters like that last one. What a beast!

Something inherently canadian about plaskett's tunes...some of his lyrics make me cringe but i dig it all anyway

Hahaha! This is That strikes again

Looks ready for action! Cool find...surprised you can see anything other than algae and goose turds on bottom of the bog riv

I used to love plowing thru 4 ft powder drifts in the middle of lake nip in my 2wd tundra but was lucky if i could ever get going from a dead stop lol. And hard pack snow forget about...loved that truck but man i got stuck in some embarrassing places and limiting where you can go because you dont trust your truck to get you there really blows!! The explode tranny last summer was a blessing in disguise!

Yeah no kidding! Was thinking the same thing, but it wouldve felt like an hour to me lolI think some of these guys highly over estimate those fight times.. 1hr? Really? It was probably more like 15mins, lol!

Weight in the back is definitely crucial, but the dealbreaker for me was always good quality a/t tires. Rear wheel drive with all seasons or worn out rubber is the most useless configuration going.

Green with envy, Nick!

The miniscule gas savings youd get from buying 2wd would go to waste from having to mash the gas pedal to get out of any less than perfect boat ramp.
Buy a tow strap lol

Only 1.75!!
The wallys have really been on around here too lately

As mentioned you can buy packs of tubing with all different sizes. I found it to be one of the better investments in fishing tackle. Mainly because I have found just as many floats as I have lost over the years. The found ones don't always come in the size and shape you purchase LOL...
Yup. Take a walk down the smaller GTA tribs in July and you'll never buy floats again.

Very cool!

I have the same issue, only mine occured after at least 12 months of not even using it. It got banged around in my truck a little bit but not enough that this shouldve happened.

I have never eaten a crepe...
-
If im working, i will eat something heavier with a good bit of carbs like a bagel and a bowl of oatmeal to keep my appetite up all day, but if im fishing i will keep things light until dinner time rolls around, fruit and maybe a can of tuna will keep me going all day.

Nice brownie...you got lucky to find one in there so early.

You layed into em good as usual. Some amazing prespawn colourations on those fish too.

Man i hate nascar, but id go back to NC for those massive tailgate parties in a heartbeat.
-
Nice. Havent done that in 2-3 years now. I can almost smell it from here.

Time to buy a compact chainsaw!

Do you wake up sweating with the cold fear that one day this forum might have sub-categories? Jesus, don't fear the unknown so much. The future isnt that terrifying.
No, do you wake up in cold sweats thinking you've missed a fish picture? Give me a break.
As for navigating through nf topics, i could care less about 5 pages of leafs banter but its quite easy to just scroll past it! Lol
