i live in Belleville when im not "being educated" or guiding. Good to see someone from the same neck of the woods! I fish the Moira off and on, usually from the shore. There is everything in that river, if you can catch it lol.

I love beer, and drink all different kinds. i never get the same type twice in a row. I'm not a big fan of pilsners, and i find ales can be hit and miss. I prefer beers with flavour, and a little body. I enjoy Micro brewery beers. Wilde Old Ale is one of my all time favourites.
Boddingtons is a favourite for eating with fish. If i'm buying cheep i usually "Tie on a Boh."
Coors light i prefer a little warmer....and in the last year i have really gotten into the habit of drinking all my beer out of a glass and much prefere the taste then out of teh bottle or can.
Next year i'm pretty my room mate and I are going to invest in a beer fridge.

Saw a few more insects buzzing around my balcony today. With this nice warm weather they all should start moving around a little more. If i wasn't so busy with end of term work i'd be down at the river.

that was a nice little report, and some beautiful chrome.
I HATE when the wallet goes MIA. I lost mine on the Train last year, and VIA mailed it back after it was found....and a year before that it fell out of my coat in the mall and it was turned in. I've been lucky so far. I now keep a LOT less important stuff in it.
I hope yours turn's up...

i had 41"er escape the cradle after i had the hook out my 1st year guiding...i leaned as far as i could and managed to grab the northern by the base of the tail...my guests grabbed me by the belt and we got the fish back in the net....only 40+ inch fish of their trip.....i earned my keep that day!

That was a goooood read. There is definatly some good people involved in this project. Definalty NOT going to be a cake walk, but the people involed have the brains to sort out issues that arise.

Welcome to the club lol
What species are in the lake? and do you have a link to their website?

If you do a little surfing there is a few sites where they do product comparisons. They found that for line shy species the fluoro made a differance.

Welcome.
As far as spoons go, don't leave home without a big williams whitefish. I'd also take a few blue fox vibrex # 4's or #5's in Orange, Yellow and Silver. Switch the treble to a single and add a 4 inch orange twister tail.
Buzzbaits are great in most colours, BUT my favourites is Black/Black buzzbaits...Booyah! Makes a good buzzbait for the price, and it has a real loud clacker on it.
Next up is a big huskey jerk....again the black model...Take off the rear most treble if you can use trebles at the lake you are going too...it will your life easier.....if it's a single hook only lake...but the hook in the middle position.
Chatter baits are also an asset. If the big pike arn't biting cause of bad weather.
That's the basics i'd be taking with me.

Check your warrenty! I dont bother fiddling fancy electronics.
I sent in a Nikon of mine that had a little water damage. It was about a month away from the Warrenty ending but i managed to get it in and fixed.
If your warrenty is expired and you send it in, you may get a bill for more then the camera is worth. But i know a few people who fought with the company over the price and they have dropped a descent amount each time.

Great Fish! Nothing like ending a season on a high note.
If the weather doesn't change you'd better bring your Rubby Slippers! It's blowing out side pretty hard right now lolol

When I get a free moment I'll look up some stuff on fish colour....I think some variation has to do with the amount of light to a certain point. Definalty the makings a good science project lol.
As far as "all those fish in the same tank" is concerned... when it comes to keeping fish alive...the maximum heat tolerance of the fish is the most important factor aside from water chemistry stuff.

Fantastic addition to this post this post bucktail.

Soild report, and a solid day of fishing that reminds me of many that have passed.
That's a great way to end the hard water season. The soft water will be here soon enough.

Moria River
in General Discussion

THERE SURE ARE!!
When they were giving out dams i think Belleville went back for a second helping. Personally the "ice control" dams on the river are a thorn in my side for MANY reasons. But i'm going to remain calm and not go off on a rant lolol
Bellow the 1st dam gets the odd salmon and the odd steelie....but they arn't very common. ANOTHER good place to rant but i'll pass again lol.
Unless you live in town it's not worth the trip. It's a sanctuary until the walleye opens anyway.
The upper moira above the dam's get one hell of a sucker run if you are interested lololol
