  1. well i will be heading out on little lake just north of barrie tomarrow, will have my flotersuit on for safty. anyways i was wondering if anyone knows what r some good spots for some gills, i have also heard that there r crappie in there but i have never had much luck with them??? i will also have a tipup set up for any pike that decides to swim by. so if anyone can give me any tips and tricks for little it would be very much appricitaed, this will be my second time ice fishin this lake and the first time all i got were tiny perch and some 12 inch pike lol haha.

  2. yea i might be tuffer then mono, but i have lost i few pike bass fishin with 30 lbs braid, fishin the slop. cut clean off, like said up above get some 50 lbs florocarbon, very tuff stuff. i use it muskie fisin (100 lbs test) and 50 lbs through 90 lbs for pike and havent been bit off yet.

  3. good report buddy! we were down there today to too. the fish were biting better today then yesterday. we also caught 7 perch over 9inches, and 2 over 10 that we kept. and released many more. edit- after looking closer at your pics, we seemed to be on the same dock at one point lol.

  4. :Gonefishing: well i went down way later then i was hoping to today. i got to the marina by 2:30. the water was very murky and could see maybe 10" down  . so the perch fishin was tuff for the most part, caught maybe 50 fish by the time i had to leave.

i only got 4 perch over 10" that were worth keepin, and had a nice size pike almost rip a perch right off my hook lol.

but still better then sittin at home all day wishin i was fishin :dunno: lol.

so i hope that this water will clear up soon, and the perch will be hittin agian.

  5. well i havent been able to head out yet :( , i will be leaving in an hour or so <_< . the docks arnt really all that unstedy, the lauch would be better if u are worying about them falling. but the marina is also very shelterd so the wind and waves are all most non-exestent. so if u do bring them to the docks, they should still wear a life jacket, dont want to take that chance. good luck Mo :D
