  1. Hey Guys, So we're going out on a Charter on the weekend, and I'd like to know what the standard level of tipping is on one of these things. I realise that it's based on the level of service you recieve, but there has to be something to base it on. All input is appreciated. thanks, -Graeme
  2. Biggest thus far was only 66 cms. Most things i seem to catch are within the slot of 40 to 55 cms. So that one was a nice find for me!
  3. Nice work Clive! And a happy belated. Where are you moving out east? i lived in Halifax for four years through university. Great city, amazing people. there's no hospitality like east coast hospitality! Enjoy it, i'd move back there myself if I could get work! Cheers, -Graeme
  4. I fish a lake in that area. i was nailing lakers on saturday down 50 over 100 using a williams wobbler That's been my killer lure all summer for them thus far. Good luck man!
  5. Now that's a post i want to read! thanks for being positive!!!
  6. I guess money is tight for him? Who knows, it's a bass reel, more of a break from hucking the big lures. We're musky fishing, so this reel will get very little use. Also, you definteily couldn't replace this real for the price of a tank of gas. But thanks for the input either way.
  7. Great pics....man i need to get on the water soon! You guys did well!!!!
  8. HAHA, damn that French river. Not sure why anyone would go there!
  9. Yeah I'm a spazz when it comes to typing things out properly apparently. One of those type beofre you think it through type things I suppose no worries, he's just decided to try using marine goop to hold it in for BASS fishing. HAHAHA Hopefully I'll be able to post a few pics of the big girls like you get over there on the Larry when i get back. Cheers, -Graeme
  10. HAHAHA, You guys are great. Read my last post before you go off on your musky tangent. iv'e been fishing them for a long time with more than enough of the proper equipment in my boat. At no point in my post did i say I was going to using spinning gear fishing musky.
  11. Man these are great posts. thanks for sharing all the wisdom.
  12. the spinning gear is not for Muskie. this would be for bass and walleye..... that being said, reading over Aaron's report about shark fishing on spinning gear, I'd say a spinning reel like that would handle muskie just fine.
  13. thanks Roy, he lives right around the corner from there... But do you konw if any sort of glue would help?
  14. So we're heading up to the French tomorrow and staying until Tuesday hunting the ellusive musky. Should be a grand trip. Of course my buddies reel breaks right before our trip. The bail has come out of the hole that holds it in. So the question is, what do you think the best way to glue this back together is (metal to metal)? Any help is appreciated... I'll hopefully have a great report when I get back next week for you guys. been waaaaay too long since I've done one of those. Cheers, -Graeme
  15. Yeah they fly it over night right to your door. And if you're getting enough for more than a couple of people (think 25 1.2 to 2 lber's) it's amazing. they arrive alive and kicking that morning. reasonable prices, and waaay better than anything i've found here.
  16. Awsome report! I always use Wayne's world lobster when I have lobster flown in here through out the summer. they've got a great setup there..
  17. Thanks for all the input guys. I've decided that I'm going with the Garmin 76CSX. I'll be picking it up tonight on my way north. Cheers, -G.
  18. Wow guys, this is all amazing information! thanks very much. I'll let you know what I get when I make up my mind. Cheers, -Graeme
  19. Thanks for the input guys, I've decided I'll want a portable one for now. I' still rent boats from time to time and it's something I'd want to have, with me as opposed to in my boat. Roy, why do you say the garmin is more for Land use? If that's the case, does Lowrance make a good handheld? Cheers, -g.
  20. Sorry to hear Lew. My condolances to you and your family. Sincerely, -Graeme
  21. I'm looking at picking up a GPS, problem is, there are so many out there. So I want to hear about your GPS and why you like/dislike it? Cheers, -g.
