  1. A diverter valve that is working correctly will divert 99% with possibly a trickle just faster than drops. I can't help with the brand names you said because they are not sold in the US. A faucet of that age though you should be able to replace the stems and seats and restore it back to 95% or better.

  2. Canada has there own gun laws that the citizens voted and approved. The US has a set of gun laws that they voted and approved. It is 2 entirely different mind sets here. You did not have a cultural background that allowed you to grow up with certain types of weapons so they seem evil to you. Examples are pistols and semi automatic weapons that resemble military arms. The M16 was the first rifle I was trained on in the SeaBees along with the M60 both are Full Automatic rifles that are ILLEGAL for any civilian to own without a very special and hard to obtain license. The AR 15 is a semi auto rifle that a trained gunsmith can alter to go full auto how ever he has committed a FELONY and risks some serious jail time. We are not trying to get full auto rifles into civilian hands but we are trying to keep the CHOICE of what we can have. I can't tell you why a gun collector needs an AR15 in his collection but I defend his right to have that. Realize that no one has ever been killed by a gun they have been killed by the person who aimed the gun. Better background checks will be ineffective some of the worst subhumans in history went undiscovered. I really don't know how to convince any of the Canadians why this is an important fight but it is. While nothing is black and white nor cut and dry but here on OFC it will continue to be debated both in wisdom and ignorance with the end result of a few smiles and a few hurt feelings. The final votes will still be cast by the people that it affects the citizens of the United States. Which if passed I hope it is not contagious and inflicts itself on Canada.

  3. Clean and flush out all of the oil with mineral oil available from any drug store. The unit is either over speeding due to the wrong pulley combo or the bearing is shot. It should not get hot enough for you not to be able to do a two second touch on it. The unit should be filled 2/3 full with oil for expansion. The reason not to use petroleum products are food contamination and just a little will taste horrible. As the unit heats up the oil expands and does lose some from the seal on the shaft. The worst that mineral oil will do in large enough quantity is make things "easier" in the bathroom.

  5. I bounced my SS off rocks twice on the West Arm of Nippissing last summer and it survived both hits with nothing more than a bit of road rash.

I blame the 1st hit on Tybo and the 2nd on Art....that's my story and I'm sticking to it :lol:

Well if you hadn't been drinking and trying to show me how fast the boat could go we would have never run OVER that island. It was not the little rash on the prop that was bad it was removing the pine trees from the rub rails that made it a pain in the butt.

  6. For Bass: A good amount of the time that I use the A rig it is on calm evenings as the sunsets and I float along quietly waiting for the baitfish to be chased to the surface. I then overcast the area and drag off to the side of the baitfish with excellent results. I will also after covering the sides send it deep below the school and pick up a few more.

  7. Just a side note here: The reason a thread gets locked is when things are not discussed with facts, becomes a mud slinging contest or becomes heavily trolled. As a rule all of the Mod's want to hear what you have to say and I personally have learned a great deal from everyone here.

Sorry to interrupt this thread with this I just wanted to let the people know that we are human too. :clapping:

  8. Cap. thanks for chiming in. I as you know have been fishing with you all for 6 years plus. I fish for pike most of the time and rarely go for Walleye but there are some big Walleye in the weeds. I do think that it should be billed as a multi species place because of the strong catches of Bass,Muskie,Perch and Pike. The Walleye I can't speak for since to me it is a by catch species in my style of fishing.
