  1. Hi and welcome to OFC. If you have a boat, try fishing along the brush of the island, or trolling around it. Many decent fish in there, keep trying and find your own fav spots too. A fishfinder can be very helpful in marking submerged structure and/or weeds.

  2. Hey Cliff now is a good time to watch all those movies you got...lol. This is the do nothing stage of recovery...the part that wil drive ya bonkers but hang in there and relax.

As you know I just broke my thumb at work and will be recovering from that for a month or so. Talk about pain....wow. Too bad we aren't closer....we could recover together....say.....at some specific GPS coordinates...wink wink.....lol. Be good Cliff and let Sue look after ya for a bit.

  3. Well well well.....the Mighty Rockbass King has returned to claim his throne yet once again.....glad to have ya back your majesty. Thems are some beauty lookin cats ya got got there...yes sir. Now as far as hotties go.......Sleded you are the hottest.....Anyway are you going to introduce us to the luvly young lady Rich. Glad to see yur still getting out there and to find a female to spend some time doin what ya luv...good on ya man. We gotta get a day out for some pike action soon again.

  4. Jediangler may explain the stringer thing himself but in order to get a quik shot while fishing alone in the Yak, you must first put a leash on the toothy critter whilst you prepare the quik release photo bracket and set the timer on the camera....or if you try to hold the fish in your lap you will lose something of value....like your camera...lol. The fish does remain in the water the whole time and is gently released right after a quik shot. No Musky were harmed when handling them this way and no digits were lost and no cameras went swimming either....lol. (happened before...the camera that is). If a larger fish is landed then this is the easiest way to deal with them then releasing them unharmed afterwards.

Good job Bro, sure wish I could have joined yas but someone had to make rubber, since the Impaler wasn't there to do it...lol. Soon we will get out and giver a shot.

  5. First of all I want to thank Big Cliff and Sue for their hospitality and generousity. Augusta and I had a wonderful time with you guys and we are lookin forward to visiting with you again soon. We had a very relaxing weekend....even though the weather didn't exactly co-operate fully. As I said before that's why it's called fishin not catchin. The fish were a bonus.

Secondly the largemouth and the musky I caught were caught, landed and gently released as always. The season for them as you know hasn't opened yet and they were accidental catches.

Sure wish we could have brought those four-legged beasts home with us...lol. If ya ever need someone to watch them for a weekend let us know, we will be there in a minute...well not quite...lol.

  6. Had a blast Bro, when we going again??? I'll have to squeeze in some time to re-tie our spinners since mine is bare now too. Had the weather been better we may have run out of bucktail, hackle and feathers alot sooner. It's always a good time to get out with the Shipper and Dalai Lama for the opener. The Cherryhill gang lives on. Fish til we drop and do it some more. B)

  7. To fish with either of these two..BBR or Sleded is and should be an honour to most on this board...lest we forget the Action Angling Tv episodes....man these guys are just plain famous. Anyway I went looking for the infamous BBR and Sleded a few weeks ago in some of their local haunts but didn't find them...Hmmm where could they be....?

  8. I gotta agree with aniceguy....I don't think its' up to the owner or the employees to close and raise the gas prices. They prolly close and reopen at peak times so as not to pay $ out to employees when they aren't really busy. As far ar raising their prices they might be able to do so if they are privately owned/independant but they still have to buy from their supplier. And with the shortage here they could take advantage of drivers if they so pleased. :dunno:
