  1. Fishing for sun fish and rock bass no doubt. :whistling:

    ps nice fish

Would ones opinoions change if they were in a tinny?Just saying!!! :sarcasm:

Unless you know 100% you shouldn't slam guyz in bass boats or anyone for that matter!Just saying!!

Nice walter Bill! I caught 3 over 7 pounds on opener in Quinte.... in my bass boat! :whistling:

  2. I too am wondering about the Trokar hooks. I use all Gamakatsu hooks right now and have never had an issue with them. I have never had any issues with the hook not penetrating the fish upon hook set. Maybe one day I will pick up a pack and try them out.

Try the Owners drop offshot hooks much cheaper and the same hook, they were the first to come out with the surgical tip.

  3. BOAT=BREAK OUT ANOTHER THOUSAND!!!!!! You got to pay to play, further more the mechanic doesn't set the rate the shop or business does, had you spoke with the mechanic he most probally would have done this cheaper on the side for you, and if in fact he had not checked over your motor and found that the stater was shot you would have or could be stuck out on the water( can't tell i'm a mechanic eh!)Most people see a (quote) and loose there minds, 1 you didn't have to get it fixed there, 2 you could have gotten a second opinon, don't knock the mechanic, most of these guyz are on a flat rate, if the book says 4 hours and he breaks a bolt or has a problem then he himself swallows the loss, i'd like to see you guyz time those carbs,I spent $500 on a old rude 6 h.p kicker, why? it's a great motor, could i have done it myself , possibly, but i'm sure it wouldn't have been right, i'm a truck and coach/ heavy equipment mechanic and i couldn,t fix a small gas engine to save my life, not my field or expertise, bottom line is you got it fixed and i'm sure you'll have many hours of worry free boating as well as some piece of mind knowing it had got done right!

  4. Dropshoting has been around for years and is fairly simple, and keep it just that! It's mostly designed to suspend your bait off the bottom, your lead is important as well, the more of the line angle the more line you need out to adjust for distance off the bottom, verticle dropshoting is intended to have the weight stationary while you have a sightly slacker line above it to allow you to twitch or shake the bait, you don't need to be agressive, thats what jigging is for, dropshoting is ment to be more subtle, there really is no wrong way to dropshot, everyone has their own version off it, you just need to find what works best for you, spend a day on the water and do nothing but dropshoting and you'll find what works for you.

  5. Thanks!

I got the trailer certified last Saturday and was able to pick up the plate for it today. So on the trailer front everything has been taken care of. Just need to get the boat registered and pick up some insurance (the joys of tourney fishing). I'll try to stop into a service Canada location soon. Thanks!

Drew service canada for the registration, Cal lme about your insurance or p.m, never take the first quote they give you, i got them to cut mine in half for the year , they'll soak you if they can,

really sux you have to do it, id be parked outside wherever I bought it the boat, a few nice signs every weekend and evening until the manufacturer made it right

It would be a option if i lived closer, If they do not repair the said damage ,I will be going to the canadian coast guard safety standards to have the boat accessed, and if need be right it off threw insurance, if they refuse to replace or repair it, who knows still playing the waiting game!

  7. I don't understand guyz????? I have the perfect wife, i'm aloud to do what ever i want..................................................................As long as she sayz it's O.K!!!!!

By a cheap Honda or Vw, they look good and last forever, ask my wife shes been beaten her golf for years and believe me she drives it like she stole it!

  8. Aren't the pontoons on the bush planes welded not to mention the pontoons on pontoon boats ? ? ?

They may very well be, but are probally a very much higher guage of metal, making them less likely to flex around the welds.

Ihaven't heard anything back since the manufacture said the dealer was responsable for the said repairs, Ispoke to tracker marine in Vaughn, told them i was getting the coast guard involved and they told me there was no need to do that, they'd get to the bottom of it, all in all i just want it fixed properly or the hull replaced so as i can sell it and loose a boat payment, i've already bought a new boat( 21SS extreme stratos) and right now 2 boat payments kinda make things tight after i got laid off, all said in done this boat will be for sale, it may possibally have a new hull, or at least have the current one fixed, so somebody is going to end up with a nice boat for half of what there worth,Tracker pro guide v-16 sc, 50 h.p merc, boat motor ,trailer, safety gear, 2 fish finders, trolling motor, aside from the cracks the boat been amazing, handles big water nice, wide, deep, all round great fishing boat, in any of my posts you will never find me knock the fishabilty of this boat,i really liked it , just not the cracks LOL!

  9. Well just got off the phone with tracker marine in Missuri or were ever they are, all i got was a cold shoulder and straight out denial for warranty, they are telling me the cracked areas have bondo in them, HAHA only repairs done to that hull are painted areas (repaired by the dealer)in the exact places the cracks are, dealer says no bondo was put in the boat, so when was it put there?, i bought the bought as a demo model that was used at ontario place, hince was the boat in fact damaged and repaired prior to me purchasing it?No body's owning up, going to call the coast guard safety and standards division and see if they can access the boat, structually it's unsafe, as well as physically as it takes on to much water, and guyz just for the record don't knock bps, they didn'y sell me the boat tracker marine did,you will never see a bps indorsment on a tracker boat

  10. Wow that`s quite a story and have read many more stories of cracking Tracker hulls and the lack of customer service,it`s amazing that Tracker can still find people to buy their product.

In my recent search for a boat Tracker was the first one scratched from the list.

You bought a stratos didn't you?Thats what i bought to replace mine.

  11. Just looked back in my PM's and Wayne has been waiting for Trackers decission for over FOURTEEN MONTHS!

LOL ya ! Good thing is folks i did go out and purchase a real boat, but am paying for 2, worse of it all is after 20 years i,ve been laid off for 5 weeks, not good timing!I just want this one fixed/replaced what ever so i can get out of it, dam my arse is sore.

  12. By posting this statement i understand it may be removed or worse i may be banned from the site, i feel it's only fair to my fellow fishermen and women to advise them of how tracker marine deals with there customers and honor there lifetime warranty, , i purchased my boat from tracker marine in 05, it was a show room model used at ontario place as a demo, upon receiving the boat it had several paint and decal issues that took forever to have fixed but in fact were fixed, 1 year and 2 months after the carpet rotted out, so tracker only being the only manufacture to offer a 1 year warranty , screwed me there, no big deal i just replaced the carpet, last year the boat started to take on water, and not alittle ,alot! If it was left in over nite it would fill to the gunnels, took the boat in for a acessement, they tell be hard trailering, bull pucky!Never once has this boat been driven onto a trailer, what has happened is were the inside strakes are welded to the hull ,it has cracked around the welds and even in places started to tear the hull, cracks are pushed outwards, so if in fact i had hit somethingthe crack would be pushed in, there are in total 7 cracks in the hull and tonite the manager of tracker marine in Vaughn calls me and says his hands are tied and tracker marine says the boats been fixed before, , i've never touched this boat and the only time since new it was touched was by there guy when the first repairs were done, i am completely disgusted with this company, did some research and found this is a ongoing problem, i,m calling the head tracker complaint office in the morning and then i will be contacting the canadian coast guardds safety council to see if the can give me a fair assement and opinion of the damage. Buyer beware, any body owning a tracker all welded aluminium hull should be warned and if you have any questions on where to look for the damage ,give me a p.m, again i apoligize if this post affends anyone but i feel things like this should spoken out otherwise more and more will get the shaft!

Thanks for listening Wayne proud owner of a CRACKER!!

  13. Like everyone else, we found the water low and the fishing very slow, but the weather was amazing ,just like july.Had the Grand Pleasure of enviting Rob(kickinfrog) and Dave(grimace, to stay with us for the weekend, food was amazing, company was exceptional, but again the fishing was crazy slow, me and George only managed 3 fish all weekend, 1, 7.7 pounder and another which we didn't weigh , but i think we should have, but the last one was a 9.8 caught by George and good enough to take 9th prize in the kiwanis derby! Had we paid the $10 for the resort pool we would have landed $600, but hey thats hindsite!Highlight of sunday afternoon was me falling out of my boat when pulling up the troling motor, man 55 degree water is brisk, and thanks George for pulling me out after you got done laughing! It was great to meet some guyz off the board and put faces to names, overall i think we had a great weekend, and Rob George sayz you have to come along again because he is going to need a camera guy again LOL!Dave wished you guyz could have done better, but from what i hear it was tough all over, theres always next time, stay in touch! All our fish were caught very shallow 10-4 feet of water, also my 7.7 pounder was only 1 inch shorter than Georges 9.8, amazing what a inch can do!

Thanks again guyz for a great weekend!

  14. Thanks for asking:

Walleye are open yr round on the Detroit River. While most areas of Ontario are still waiting for ice to melt and the season to open we are fishing. The muskie was caught and released with no issue as were the smallies and we were not targetting them with 1/2-5/8oz jigs. During the early season you will catch a number of different species as Darrell mentioned in his post.

Nice fish Darrel!Whats with you when fishing!!!!! he nails a musky everytime i get him out as well!Seems like nobody ever picks up other fish species while fishing a specific species or take the time to read where they were fishing, some people are way to quick to start a sh@#@t storm, people need to read posts more carefully, and if you don't know maybe one should not reply at all!!Congrats again Darrel and the wife is sure a keeper! P.s could have used you in the pike tourny on sun! LOL

  15. How did you end up doing? Get a partner?

Never entered the tourny, left the stratos in the driveway , but i did drive down to help launch the boats, i think around ten boats registered, kinda a crappie day but everyone stayed inside the breakwalls , i kinda posted this late my guy backed out on me so i just threw it out there, no loss though, heading to Quinte friday morning, kickinfrog and grimace are joining our party so should be a great trip and a great chance to meet some more guyz from the site, Also a heads up for anyother guys heading to quinte this weekend, we are staying at perfect vue resort cabin #6, stop in for a drink if your near by, or look for the moroon and gold 21ss extreme stratos with a 150 johson white motor on the water, we will be fishing near and around shermans point!

  16. if you use regular mono with a fluoro lead it's cheaper and casts better. fluoro lines are a cash grab imo.

Honestly p-line has too much memory, but is cheaper, it must be spooled on the reeel in the same direction it come off the spool, try using a line conditioner as well, could you have over spooled it as well? 6 pnd fluro is what i use on mostly everthing and i've only had a problem when spooled wrong or over spooling, line conditioner will help i use it all the time to combat line twist.100% berkely fluro i find is the best but is more $!
  17. Still going strong for the souls willing to brave the lake. winds didn't go to forecast, cost me stuffing a wave (very cold in April) and a windshield. got my Dad into some nice smallies though ;)

anyone not partaking in trout opener this weekend, there are options....

Don't count out the river had 20 plus largies yesterday and at least that many smallies, rivers on fire too!!

  18. We have a open spot for quinte opener,$85 covers you for the whole weekend, just bring your gear, food beer, needing a non-boater to fish with another member, must split gas with the boater and purchase a derby ticket, cottage is at Perfect Vue just inside hay bay, heated!(Previous person had to back out due to purchasing a boat from the states and the time frame may not work for him!)Must be paid to me up front to hold spot, as accomedations are all paid up!

    Thanks for looking Wayne!
