  1. I've never tried for the event itself but I did go to the opener last year.

    I may join this year...

I just checked out the weigh ins for 2010, there was a lady that had won three times, all being over 10 lbs. How is this possible if you're only allowed one fish over 63cm per day?

Live release, once you weigh it, it is released! You are no longer in possesion.

  2. Look on BBC they have tons of boats for sale at great prices, i Run a 21 foot stratos with a 150 04 Johnson, I,m still getting 48 mph and i,m over proped like crazy, my new prop i,m expecting at least 60 mph, shop around there is some good deals, if you buy across the ditch , speak with Drew he bought his last year from the states.

  3. I agree with with Bill on the 99.5 to 03, great cars, wife crashhed hers as well and wrote it off insurance didn't allow us enough to get back into another one, but i did get a 99.5 Jetta gaser with 84,000 miles, still wish we had the golf!As far as them being more expensive to fix, really not more than any car really, stay away fron ct for repairs, they have no idea how to work on them and believe me i experinced this the hard way.

  4. I have a spot open for the weekend of the 13th of may, we will arrive on friday th 13th around noon and leave for home on the 16th, this will be 3 nights, cost is $75 for the 3 nites, plus split cost for gas in truck and boat, responsible for 1 meal for 4 guyzs and byob, this is a cabin and you will be fishing out of my boat, payment of the accomedations up front, this just makes it less costly in may.JUst to let everyone know, i do not troll. just drifting and jigging/finese fishing i do well every year just ask anyone who has gone up with us!

  6. On a final note i sold the boat as it was, i was very honest with the buyer and the boats issues, he was happy i was sorta happy to be rid of a second boat payment but i lost my shirt i basically sold it for what was left owing on it, i have since talked with many other folks with similiar tracker marine problems, hopelyfully with lots of exsposer the message will get out how bad these boats really are!Had i had some better finicial means i would have fought this tooth and nail but it wasn't in the cards, the big corperate guy wins agains! :sarcasm:

  7. 10. I believe one should never stick a needle in the swim bladder of the fish. Logically if you create a hole in the bladder how will the fish be able to use the bladder again? I suspect the original practice started from misinformed anglers who thought popping a hole to relieve the pressure would be good. Bottom line, if you are fishing deep and are practicing catch and release then just take your time bringing up the fish. Unless fish have regenerative powers that can instantly heal a hole in thier swim bladder, fizzing is not a good idea.

I fish erie tonns and believe me there is no bringing them up slowly, they rocket to the surface, as long as you release them right away 9 out of 10 times they will be o.k.Fizzing does work and i have caught fish that have been fizzed before to con firm this, fizzing is a way to insure a survival of tournament fish (usually) i practice it on a regular basis and feel strongly that it works, i'll try make a video demstrating how to do it!

  11. How deep of a catch till we need to potentially Fizz them:

    For bass?

    For perch?

    For Walleye?

I heard Lake trouts or Salmon do not have any problem and self equalized upon reaching the surface.

Here is an article about Fizzing fish http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/columns/story?page=b_col_bt_1106_fizzing_procedure

I have never done it before, but wondering if anglers should start carrying needles on their boats just to be ready when it needs to be done. The other issue is if not done with experience and proper knowledge, Will the needle also potentially or accidentally end up puncturing other internal organ resulting in killing the fish?

Usually anything over 20 fot, a sure fire way to tell if they need fizzing is to put them in the livewell for 15 minutes, if they are floating on there sides and are not upright in the livewell they need fizzing, can they be fizzed wrong? yes for sure, a proper fizzing needle should be a 18 guage needle and the tube attached with the plunger removed helps with hearing the air coming out, but care should be taken as to not remove to much air as this is harmful as well, practice makes perfect, try with smallier fish first until you feel comfortable doing it or just release the fish quickly to avoid it filling with air.Fizzing is mostly done to bass or walleye caught deep in which they spend time in a livewell awaiting a weighin at a tournament.when properly done this is a valuable tool when fishing.I fizz fish on a regular basis as i fish erie lots, have i lost fish before Yes! but they end up as dinner as to not waste them.

  12. I guess now we really know what happened to your Cracker Wayne!

LOL Wayne buddy i wish she had in fact been the scenario! At least maybe the insurance would have covered it, insurance wrote it up as a manufacturing defect! I got screwed, but i did sell the boat for what i owed and to to guy i bought my bass boat from, he is going to fix it and use it up north!Wish we could have worked a deal when i bought his boat LOL!

  13. Isn't that an aluminum hull? It'll probably be severely scratched and dented up, should still be usable no?

Should have came in once the weather started to change, or had a weather radio!!!!

If you're going to fish big water, why not be prepared for it? A $100 radio may have saved this from happening.

Thhey had a radio! Guyz erie went from almost flat to 6-10 footers in matter of minutes, freak wind changed from a ne to sw
