  1. Would the Etech not start....

Motor was fine, they in fact were trying to turn around and hit bottom with the motor, wrong move though i would have turned the bow into the wave, that shore line is pure shale no sand, 3 orintal guyz all whereing floater suits, just got caught not being carefull or aware, water was waste deep, im sure the skeg is toast, she was banging pretty good! The whole accident boiled down to inexperience, worse was the guy in the 12 foater with the soaking wet 5 year old, this wind picked up sunday in a matter of minutes, from calm water with no drift sock to all hells breaking loose, most guyz were fishing the american side of erie at myers reef, was a rough ride back for sure.

  2. This happened on sunday, erie showed her fury around 12:30 and kicked up somw 6 to 10 foot waves catching lots of anglers off guard, these unfortunate guyz had very little boat experience and swamped their boat right at the launch in crystal beach ,and got her hung up on the shale rock shore line, they had to leave it there over nite and it was taking a beating all nite long, real shame for sure,

  3. Motion sorry this had to turn bad , but im sure you know what your grtting into, just on a bigger scale,Buster is right in stating we all don't tell the bad stuff because with all dogs there is some tuff times training, but persitance does pay off. Mine gave me grief for years as well, but are now older and seem better, less bad habits.my golden is 10 years old and still at least once a year looks for the garbage bage buffet lol!Dogs are like kids, kids pee to bed, dogs pee on the floor, but at least mine won;t steal my truck with out asking!lol.... or maybe he has!!!

  5. What everyone is missing here is that in fact he caught 2 fish were this had occurred, so it obvious the fish are still eating! and had survied, also when the fish are released, they do swim away, so how do they spoil?there is a difference in purposly killing the fish trying to remove a hook than leaving it in, leaving them in obviously aloud you to catch them again so it must have worked, also if you broke a fish off what do you do then?Honestly this thread is just cause for a pissing match. If you feel better keeping illegal fish so be it, but if you get caught i'm sure we won't here how you made out!The rule about leaving fish to spoil means releasing already dead fish with the intention!

  6. The Canadian 5 fish smallmouth record was broken on saturday Oct 23, 31.55 pounds by Joe muszynski and Mark Moran, thats over a 6 pound average for 5 fish, caught on Lake Simcoe Ontario!

Big fish for this tourney but not part of the record was a woopping 8.05 pound smallie, all the top 10 weights for 5 fish were over 27 pounds, the event was the Lake Simcoe BassPro open!

  7. i had problems with my boats lights as well, removed them and replaced with the l.e.ds from princess, have been trouble free ever since, great for boat trailers, brighter, less voltage to run them, and most guys are not towing boats threwout the winter, but a very good point by Roy none the less.Lso the l.e.ds are water tight, in 3 years i have never had to unplug them when launching!

  8. Decided to hit late erie today with a good friend for some fall monster smallies, weather is overcast with a chance of showers, fish most of the morning with limited success, around 1:00 p.m a small rainshower starts but some thing weird is happening, evertime i lift my rod its making a buzzing sound, the more i move it the louder it gets, i look over to my buddy Rick and low and behold all the loose threads on his rain jacket hood are sticking straight up in the air, to top it off we cast out and our braid line will not lay down but is arching 20 feet into the air, we were totally freaked out but just as fast as it started it stopped, our lines dropped and everything was o.k, honestly i think we escaped maybe a possible lightening strike, very weird for sure! some pics!!

  9. I just went thrrew this with my wifes car, get some vaseline and be ready, sorry for the harsness but thats the reality of the whole thing, they will have a independant appraiser look up 20 vechile like yours from the last year and give you a percentage of the average, i couldn't even come close to replacing my wife car with what they gave us and yes i had receipts as well, doesn't mean much i'm afraid, i fought for a month and got no wheres, they will not repair it, or give you a replacement, it's a harse reality but find another vechile similiar to yours for a reasonable price, all said and done i was still out thousands when i repalced my wifes car(2000 volkswagon T.D.I loaded, 5spd.)If your truck has a new motor in it , buy it back and try to sell off the parts to recupe some value!|Honestly i know how you feel and really feel your pain, even when its not you fault you get screwed!

It's a fun event for a great cause. Last year we were able to donate $3000.00 to the charity and hope to increase that this year. Prizes are donated from local businesses both small and large as well as sponsors from the fishing industry. Last years winning team walked away with $1000.00, All other competing teams went home with cash or prizes. There will be food and beverages available for the competing anglers after the event.

Entry form is available at our website at www.niagarabassmasters.com or email myself (Pete) at [email protected] and I will email you a copy.

Once again this is a fun event and any/all teams are welcome. (B.A.S.S. membership is not required)

This is also a great opportunity to enjoy fishing the same waters that the Bassmania Great Lakes Series and OBF qualifier was held on.

    Hope to see you there.

Remember that this is for a great cause and the money raised stays locally.

    Thanks,

    Pete Elphinstone

Congrats to the top 13 that made team Ontario!

  12. When I start my motor I get a random alarm sound coming from the throtel? It goes from a few beeps in neutral to a long beep when I excellerate. The motor seems to be running fine. Just wondering what could be the problem or is it just a loose wire?

Could be a low oil warning alarm or overheating alarm, stuck thermostat or not enough water pressure from the pump. The pick up may have some weeeds plugged up inside of it causing poor water flow.

  13. I'll think you find the line is crap, $10 is way to cheap for flurocarbon, i use the berkely 100% 6 pnd test, tubing in erie and i findit stronger than 15-20 mono, also if your using it for leader, just buy the fluro leader line, best knot in my opinion is the palamar knot, never had it fail and very easy to retie, i'm betting the line is crap, try the berkley 100%.

  14. Took my son and his friend fishing today, my boyz buddy said he loves fishiing but doesn't get out much so i tell em lets go!Took them to the upper niagara river around navy island for a few hours, everyone caught fish, but the highlight was my sons buddy when i told him to drive my bass boat back, the poor kid was shaking he was so excited, mad me feel real good to know they had a great time, these days kids don,t have much time for the old man, and it felt nice to have them out, take a kid fishing every chance you can guys, before long they,ll be all growed up! Don't let you kids be the one that got away!!!
