Yes, we used 120 dozen of minnows. Call Mark, ask him? We order 120 dozen of minnows every time we go. We take in 2 air rators, and 3 floating minnow buckets. This keeps all minnows alive. Never had a problem. We also go early , first week of June, and worms work, but not like minnows... We use a jig and minnow, catch all the fish you want, all day long.. I have been to Yesterday lake 3 times, Floodwood 3 times, Unknown lake 2 times, Twopeak lake 3 times, Sand, Edgar, French,etc... I never fished mikwam, we are thinking of booking that lake for next year.... How many other lakes can you get to from Mikwam? And how is the fishing? Oh yea, we are always overweight.. We call Mark ahead of time and order our beer.. We always take in 3-4 cases per man... Its a vacation, no need to worry about weight..

Hey, how are you? I have been flying in with Cochrane Air for 20 years.. Never been to Mikwam though.. I heard its a great lake, as I think all of their lakes are nice.. TAKE LOTS OF MINNOWS, LIVE MINNOWS.. Last year we fished Yesterday Lodge, used 120 dozen of live minnows.. There were 4 of us and we caught about 750-800 walleye each.... I am tanking my 10 year old next summer.. Going back to Yesterday.. We love the lake and set up at Yesterday!!! We are not going this year, due to cash.. Cannot afford to go every year anymore... It was a heck of a trip. We used 120 dozen of minnows, and a pound of leeches... They were not hitting the crawlers this week. Oh yea, we fished evryday from 8 am till about 2 pm.. Ate lunch, then back out at 4 pm untill 11 pm.. About 12 hours a day.. We also had time to drink 16 cases of beer... Great stuff!!

Well, We are back from our fly in trip with Cochrane Air Services. We flew into Yesterday Lake last Friday. WHAT AN AWESOME TRIP once again!! The fishing was totally unreal for 8 days. There were 4 of us and we caught about 2,200 fish......... I caught the biggest walleye at 11 pounds.. 33 inches on Tuesday. We also caught 5, 7-8 pound walleye, and alot of 24 inchers.... The pike were mostly smaller this year, but we did end up with 3, 15 pounders through out the trip.... The weather was crazy as usual, rain, snow, sun, wind, etc..... Cochrane Air is a first class outfitter. I will post some pictures in a few days, as I am back at work and tired as hell............................................ PS...We fished from June 5th untill June 12th... Like I said, TOTALLY AWESOME.. Also, The Pittsburgh Penguins are the CHAMPS!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO

Hi, I am leaving thursday for cochrane air services.. We are flying in friday.. Few questions?? Hows the fishing up there?? I noticed its been pretty cold, any chance of it warming up at all??? Hows the bugs, bad??? I am worried about the cold weather shutting down the fish? Any info would help.. Where can I get the best forcast for cochrane, ontario??? thanks

We have never flown in with Hearst, but we did get to fly in the Turbo Outter.. We use cochrane Air Services, and they used Hearst Turbo Otter to help with fly ins!! I think you will have a blast!!! The pilot that flew for hearst was a great guy!!

So you also fished yesterday? How did you do? We have been there 2 times, and the one time it was 100 degrees every day, we killed the walleye... I learned from going so much, that it all depends on the weather. We went to Edgar Lake last year, and the weather was all over the place.. Snow, sleet, rain, etc.. That was the worst fishing we had at cochrane air and Edgar is there best outpost??? Our guys love yesterday lake due to the fingers, coves , and rocky shorelines.. I would have to say its my favorite lake I fished yet with cochrane air...

Cochrane Air always takes good care of us. This will be my 21st trip with them... I think, been so many I cannot remember??? LOL I was reading you need an Outdoors Card this year ???
