Bump for John7?? You there? Have you been to unknown lake since they built the new cabin ?

You may not need minnows in June, but believe me, it helps out 100%.... We are flying into Unknown Lake with cochrane air on June21 and we will fly in 100 dozen with us.. Then on Tuesday (Mid Week check flight) we get another 100 dozen... We use them all.. Plus we take salted minnows, a flat of worms and a lb of leeches.... I am telling you, YOU CANNOT BEAT A JIG AND MINNOW!!! One year, my uncles friend caught a walleye 133 consecutive casts with jig and minnow..... To me and my travel partners, ITS WELL WORTH THE EFFORT!!! PEACE When you have days, with a flat lake, cold front, etc... Minnows help 100 %....

My favorite is walleye on the grille... With lemon pepper and garlic... And a cold molson... Not sure if you can tell, but I am very excited about our trip this year.. It will be my 12 year old sons first time... I have been going to cochrane air for 15 years now... This year I could care less if I fished.. I am more excited to watch and enjoy my sons re-actions, excitement, etc...... Gonna be fun!

Question about a great radio to take in on a fly in fishing trip. We like to listen to some music and radio stations while inthe bush.. The current radio we have does not get many channels while in the bush... Any reccomendations??

Wow, you have been to Unknown Lake? I was there years ago, when the old cabin was on there?? Do you have pictures of the new cabin? Also, were you able to access the other lakes? Thanks

Just called the border ... They said its fine to drive a 12 passenger van... Thanks everyone!!

Hello everyone, We are getting ready for our trip with Cochrane Air this year.. We have been going with them for years... I have a question on what you are permitted to DRIVE across border? W ea re planning on renting a 12 man passanger van for the trip... Are you allowed to cross the border in a big passenger van?? Thanks PS...We leave June 21st... Flying into Unknown Lake..

I have more picutres I can post later!! Fishes minnows with jigs! 1/8 and 1/4 ounce! Yellow, white, black and pink~!! We took a 5 gallon bucket and an air rater! Plus we had 3 floating minnow buckets!! Works out great!! We buy them from Mark!! You will have a blast at Edgar!! I really don,t think it matters what lake you go to, ITS AWESOME UP NORTH!!! Oh yea. minnows were live, bought from Mark!

Another picture of the inside.... A look from the cabin deck!!! If you go left, off the dock, thats where alot of walleye were caught! Thats if you can get there with the winds..We did catch alot right out from the cabin... LOTS OF WATER!! Here is another.... Edgar is a long, narrow lake. If the winds kick up, its very hard to fish! When we were there 3 years ago, it rained, snowed, hailed, sun, you name it!! Like any fishing vacation, WEATHER IS IMPORTANT!! We still caught tons of walleye.. TAKE MINNOWS.. We take 260 dozen forthe week.. Ask Mark, no one belives me when I say that! We also take worms, and leeches!! USE IT ALL... We did not catch many pike, but we don,t really fish for them. And the weather was COLD!! Its a nice set up....

Edgar Lake... Its a long, narrow lake. Not much structure, just deep drop offs. This was taking right off dock... The cabin is really nice. 2 Big bedrooms, lots of room!!

I have fished with Cochrane Air for 15 years! Edgar, Sand, Yesterday, Unknown, French, Floodwood, Twopeak, etc.... We went to Edgar 3 years ago! Big lake.. Nice cabin.. LOTS OF WALLEYE! The weather was rough when we were there...... PM me, I can tell you all about the lake!! We are headed to Yesterday Lake June 15th this summer!!

HI, I have flown in with Cochrane Air for 15 years or so. Not going this year due to a few things happening at home! We have never fished Netogami, but I know people who have. We fished Edgar(its close to Netogami), Sand, Floodwood, Unknown, Yesterday, French, Twopeak, and Snare. TAKE IN LIVE BAIT. We usually take in 250 dozen of minnows. Its true, ask Mark.. But we use every single last one of them! Jigs are the ticket for walleye! Pike, silver minnows, buzzbaits,etc.. When they are hitting, they hit anything! Be pre-pared for the bugs. Thanks... Its not really a family trip, but yet it is. My uncles are going, and a friend. We fish hard. But we like to relax also. We LOVE walleye fishing. I have heard Rice lake is awesome. Wonder how bad the lake gets with the wind?

Thank You. Its tough to switch outfitters, we have been going to Cochrane Air for years! But we want a change. Are the lakes as secluded as cochrane? If you had a choice, what lake would you pick? Out of Air Ivanhoe? I plan on taking my 12 year old son..

Thanks. We were looking at Lemoine lake or Bonar Lake? We just want to try something different. I am not sure if the fishing is as good as Cochrane Air?

Looks like you fished Today Lake, with Cochrane Air Services.. We have gone with them atleast 15 years now.. Great fly in fishing..
