Bass, pike, and rumours of some splake. A buddy of mine had a cottage there for years. Decent bass and pike, you shouldn't have a problem catching fish.

I have seals skin mitts, but that's it. I've always wanted a pair of boots, but man, they are pricey! lol

@DRIFTER_016 If you were in Ontario, there is a chance. My buddy had a hell of a time getting it diagnosed. So many odd symptoms, that could have been anything. He eventually had to cross the border to get tested properly, and once diagnosed, was treated properly and is doing perfectly fine since.
How do you figure you got covid? I know it was around earlier than most realize. I think myself and a group of friends MAY have had it as well, before the "Pandemic" kicked in, but like you said, won't know for sure. We are all fine though, just a bad cold.

I'm fully vaccinated since late Feb. After the first shot I felt better for a bit but the symptoms returned before my second shot. Second shot made no difference. Unfortunately I believe some of the damage COVID did to my body will never heal.
Were you diagnosed with covid? Or just assume thats what you had at the time? I kind of remember your story being along the lines of you got sick at the time covid started, but weren't diagnosed? I could be wrong. Have you been checked for Lyme disease? I have a friend who has been through hell and back again with Lyme. They also just assumed covid related, but he was also not diagnosed with covid, and has never tested positive.

I finally broke down and put out the money for the simms gear after trying all the others. Save your money and do it right once. I'd second the BPS. I have only had my simms jacket and bibs for a year, but man, it keeps you REALLY dry.

It's a great park, but the wardens are <<<ahem>>> enthusiastic about enforcing the rules. Like, singing around the camp-fire with grandkids to grand-parents, nothing rowdy, and well before 11 pm, cut it out or you will be evicted.
SEVERAL different years. What can I say? we are a singing family, and campfires are the perfect venue for this. I never fished the lake when we camped, but have been there for day trips - it is a lovely, multi-species lake.

Are we related? I am banned from a couple of Provincial parks LOL .....
Sounds like a great trip floater!

Sorry but Devils advocate
I have an on board in my 16' Sylvan and fished Lady Eveleyn for a week and never had to put gas in or change a tank . Thats a nice feature . Pros and cons
Yes, but you also hauled around a lot of extra weight for the first half of your week lol

Id get whatever one you can get with a yamaha engine. I personally like that crestliner more, and I'm a tiller guy.

Thats plenty of gas for a 50hp 4 stoke engine. I can fish for days and days on a 25L tank with my 40 yamaha. No need to haul around any more than that anyways. If your going so far that you need more, just bring it in gerry cans.

I hear you, its sort of like reeling in a 45 inch musky on 80lb test. 49 seconds from hooked to in the net. I tell ya, fun times. Makes for a better photo though 😂
Yeah, but how many 45" muskies do you think most people catch in a season? Its about the chase. Like you said, I can sit on my dock, or any bridge and catch bass all day long.
At the end of the day, i fish for everything. I just don't get excited over bass. I might fish them once or twice a season.

I went for a quick evening troll last night. Had 2 hits, one of them hooked for a few headshakes but got off. My musky season doesn't really pick up until they are in summer spots off deep weeds. I got a nice pair of walleyes though....lol

If the winch strap snaps, that's what the secondary chain and hook are for. If the boat slid forward on the trailer through his rear window, I'd suspect cheesy rear tie downs or none at all.
I agree, but the trailer slid because of the bunk slides in all scenarios.
People are stupid.
Have you seen the people at boat launches??
Any surprise things aren't strapped down properly?
See the trailers going down the roads??
I know my stuff isn't going anywhere, ever. Over rated everything.

No thanks. I've seen a guy with the slides on his bunks hit the brakes at a quick yellow light and the whole boat pushed his winch post right off the trailer and thru the back windshield of his SUV.
Seen a boat slide off the trailer after leaving a stop sign when the winch strap snapped.
Seen several boats slide off the trailer at the ramp, before they were in the water.
I will stick to my long carpeted bunks, thanks.
If your having trouble winching the boat on the trailer, get a bigger winch. Simple.

Yes, I’m fairly certain that they aren’t leaking. I used blue tuck tape over the drain holes of both live wells and poured 5gallons of water in each live well. I had the back deck removed and did not see any water anywhere, and no water leaked out from behind the tape. It is a 05 16.5 crestliner fish hawk. I am located in the burlington area.
what did you use to block the transom? Do you have any pictures?I used wood. Large 8x8 blocks I have kicking around. Those welded crestliners are kind of famous for splitting open. I'm not a real fan of welded hulls, unless its thick metal. You have more cracks somewhere in the hull if your satisfied your plumbing isn't leaking.

Are you 100% sure the livewell lines aren't leaking? Put a plug in the livewell drain hole in the transom, and try again? Where are you located? What size boat is it?
To get my boat off the trailer I used my trailer tongue jack. Crank it all the way down as far as it will go, then block the transom solid. Now, crank the tongue jack all the way up and the transom will lift off the trailer. Once you have the jack all the way up, block under the keel at the bow, and let the jack down enough that you can see the whole hull. I have done this several times to replace my trailer bunks over the years, and once to paint the boat. It works, just make sure you have it blocked up good and solid.

Not sure where I got it. Maybe my son. The young people have it and don’t know it.
I’m about 90% now. A little tired. I feel my strength is really coming back. I guess I’ll be back to we’re I was in a week. So about a month of tired.

I have a few trips to do this summer and now I want to do them even more then before.Yeah, a couple of my sons friends got it recently as well. Take care man!
