Yah, there is a lot of plastic noise from the housing, I didn't really get too involved in it, was mostly just cliping together for the angles and see what the transition to black would be like. I am going to be making a bigger video to promote the grudgerun in the next few weeks. For that I'll be cutting the audio right out of the source video.

Sadly the bud buggy didn't last.

I don't really like the new guy. Not sure why I just like the old mantracker better.

Pretty happy with it, the audio is not too bad, but clearly an external mike is needed for moderatly good sound. Other than that I am pretty happy with it. The low light abilities SUCK big time btw. So have ample light or shoot during the day.

My opinion is I am gonna damn well miss NHL hockey.... Here is me many moons ago taking a road trip with the boys to pittsburgh in the playoffs....This road trip we made hockey night in canada and the toronto sun, and the Leafs won.

I'll tellyou this. It was to go watch the Teachers Pension Fund push Pencils. I could care less how much the owners make. I would pay to see the best hockey players in the world play no matter what team they played for.

Yah, I just use my cell phone for normal pictures. If I want good quality I pull out the Digital SLR. The panasonic uTough that I have is only slightly better than pictures taken with my blackberry. For only slighlty better I'll just skip it and hit the dSLR.

Well, I ate it. But it didn't taste all that great. Tasted kinda sour . haha

Hopefully it doesn't send me to the hospital for food poisoning.

baha, yah well lets not get into all of the nitty gritty of the money that goes into fishing these tournaments.

A one time stock and a complete ban would allow the fry time to take hold. I doubt very much a complete and forever commercial fishing ban will ever take place until there are no fish left.

Well first off I can't even recall the last time I ate a smallmouth... So here is my story... I was fishing the final day of a 2 day tournament this past weekend. We had 15.5 pounds on day one and sat in 4th place, only 1.5 pounds or so out of second. My second cast of the day hooked a 2.2 pound smallie. It was a tough day for us and about 30 minutes before the end of the day that 2.2 pound smallie had died in our live well. We tried to catch a bigger one but we just didn't have time. In the end we took a 1 pound penalty for a dead fish, and we came in 6th place. The tourney paid to 5th. We were .02 pounds combine 2 day total out of the money and 500 bucks.

So anyway, this smallie got filleted (skin still on) and is in the freezer.

I need some suggestions on how I should cook up this 500 dollar bass. This recipe has to be one for the ages.

Why not just do a one time massive stock, have a complete ban, only catch and release, no commercial fishing for X years, possibly 3 years or 5 years. Let a few breeding classes have a chance to repopulate the lake.

I thought it was cormorants causing the fish problem? haha jk I think a 1 or 2 keep limit is fine in a lake that is clearly struggling. The netting and other types of fishing also need to be looked at.

What more do you want from a fresh water species? Good table fare. Great fighters. They only live in the most perfect, unpolluted places on the planet. And can a fish get any better looking than this? I think not.

I would agree but, imagine a guy that posts a picture of a fish he released of a Bass, and said on camera it was a record, then gets all miffed when he doesn't show it on a scale or with a tape measure. If he caught it, took a pic and said "wow check this pig I caught and released" People wouldn't have said anything bad. As soon as you utter record, you better have you ducks in a row.

Ok, so here goes this should be interesting...

Take any two fish and combine them to make a super fish... for eating, catching whatever...

Rules.

1) 2 Fish

2) Can't combine salt, salt with fresh or brackish etc.. so No Great White Crappie, or Flying Muskie

3) You have to explain what traits you would want to be in the final fish

4) You can submit one ontario only strain coontaining ontario fish and one worldy fish containing any fish from around the world

Ontario - Crapski

I am thinking Crappie and Muskie... Taste, reproduction rate and schooling characteristics of Crappie, Muskie for the size and fighting ability.

World - Salmark

I am thinking a Great White and a Pacific Salmon. Size, Power looks of the shark, mixed with the breeding habbits of a Salmon... Imagine watching a school of them jump up a river during spawning season.

baha, we actually talked about that and he said, "Playing for the leafs would be awesome, there are alot of perks to play for a team like that but..." I was like, I know I know.... but... you would be a freaking movie star if you played onthe leafs.

I dunno if he would but it would be so awesome if they did. They could use him. He is built like the Brick you know what house, tough and solid skater. He would be awesome in the corners. Not a superstar or anything but a good guy and he plays with his heart on every shift. You can see that every time he is on the ice. No floater shifts.

How is it possible to weigh a LIVE musky accurately enough to determin ounces, while in a boat, in the water, with the thing ALIVE and all the while being able to release it without it dieing from the stress. I doubt it was actually weighed, no biggie in my eyes though, he didn't want to shoot for a record, so leave it at that. Be happy, its an awesome fish and a great looking replica mount.

It swims for another day, I don't think those big 12+year old musies even spawn anymore do they? Aren't they just eating machines at that point? Good on him for sticking to his guns and letting it go. I honestly can say that if I thought it was close to a record, I would have a real hard time letting her swim away. He did call it a record himself in the video though. So the flaq he is getting/got/will get is all on him. A photo of the measure goes a long way.

Depends on who's books you look in. Some have disallowed the 69 and some have not.

Is it not already illegal to let fish rot that is edible? So how would banning roe prevent anyone from harvesting roe and letting the fish rot? Or am I missing something?

IGFA also has a catch and release record but you need to use one of there approved scales. To be honest its a good idea, its pretty easy to fake a measurement if need be.... eg folding the girth measurement tape behind the fish, using a modified ruler or whatever. Record means you need to follow the rules of that record keeper. Its just how it is.
