  1.

Grovers - probably a bit far from stadium and line up was way too long for a burger - OK but the hype was bigger than the food

Grovers........Ive eaten there once and pass it twice daily to and from work for years now. Reason for never eating there, as you stated........it seats what seems like 12 people max lol (exaggerating....a little) and theres always at least 10 people waiting out front to get in.

Little history on the place.........It was originally Grover Clevelands hunting cabin

  2. I've never fished a river and I have absolutely no plans to ever do so, and reading posts like this one only re-affirms my feelings.

I have NO idea how any of you guys can find enjoyment in this type of fishing when your shoulder to shoulder with guys, ducking under each others lines to land a fish, and actually getting into fights with each other.

Thanks, but I'll gladly stick with the solitude of my boat.

Its not always as bad as its cracked up to be. Theres plenty of solitude and fish thru the cold weather months to contradict alot of what you hear about the fall and spring runs. Wait till the weather turns and hit it !

  3. Agree with getting the season started........

However, I went to the Sabres game last nght and was pleasantly surprised with the turn out, and the atmosphere for a pre-season game.

It was quite full, with a decently competitive game going on.........and got to watch the new kids dangle a little. Heck, there were even sections of Leafs fans shouting "LETS GO LEAFS" obnoxiously :) You guys must really like it down here to show up when your teams not even on the ice lol

  4. Actually, it looks like kessel flapped his gums and then raised his hand toward Scott first. Silly little troll :) I think Scott new he wasnt going to get to Kessel, just made a grab toward him and was glad to deflect to the first leaf to intercept him. Im sure he was glad he couldnt get to him uncontested, that would have been awkward for him (scott) to have to go full beat down mode on phil in front of the hockey world lol.

Scott may have looked silly with the attempt to grab him. But IMO Kessel trumped that with the baseball swings at Scotts ankles from outside the scrum as Scott is preoccupied with 2 guys on him. And then later comin in to poke him again. Hes askin for a whoopin. Of course thats just my opinion. ANd my opinion would be the same if it was Ennis from the sabres behaving the same with Orr.

It all evens out in the end.......I say good for Buffalo for being on the other end of the conversation for a change.

  5. Heres my sunglasses pattern:

Buy 15 dollar sunglasses from drug store..... Sit on glasses.

    Go without glasses

Buy another pair of 15 dollar glasses when desperately needed, on way to a fishing weekend.........drop glasses in lake

Go without glasses for rest of trip

Buy another pair of cheapos at truck stop while driving into the sun on road trip.........lose glasses at next rest stop

Go without glasses until next road trip

Buy another pair of..........you get the idea

Been doing it my whole life.........now imagine if all those glasses above were 120 dollar glasses

Ill never buy a quality pair of glasses

  6. I played the $100 dollar wader game for quite a while, buying hodgeman wade-lites etc........I would just return them for a new pair when they began to leak (which seemed to be one year or less) . One set went two years and when i went to exchange them....that was too far from the date of purchase to exchange. So it was time to actually buy a new pair instead of exchanging. I guess i dont learn, as i splurged for a $139 set of frogg togg breathables. So far so good i guess as its comin up on two years and im still dry.
