  1. Love their videos. Go Bruins
  2. Guelph lake is supposed to have some decent pike fishing but I haven't fished it yet
  3. Top 5 Bass bait probably 1-Gulp Minnow baits (Dropshot, jigging) 2-Wacky Rigged Senko 3-Jerkbait(x-rap) 4-lipless crank (clackin rap) 5-Either shallow crankbait (squarebill) or popper (Rebel Popr)
  4. I went to Mountsberg the other day and the water level was extremely low. Its a shallow lake to begin with and It looks to have lost about 3-5 fow. Does anybody know if this is a usual occurrence or the result of a dry year thanks. Lukas
  5. Does anyone know any good shore fishing spots in the niagra region. I am planning on fishing either the niagra or welland canal for pike and bass. Thanks LUkas
  6. So after 2 failed bass attempts I went out for once more. I started landing this hammer-handle on a top water plastic frog. I had thought I read on the site you could rent canoes but I was wrong so I went wade fishing. I switched to another spot and used this year's confidence bait to try and catch another. I hooked something huge and wondered how I was to land a pike wading in 3 feet of water then It hit the surface! a huge largie 19.5" 3.31lb. A few casts later I caught another nice one 18.5" about 3lb. Sorry about this one's bad quality it was taken from shore.
  7. Could you just hook it on the side near the back?
  8. I honestly believe red hooks work better especially for smallmouth. My proof is last year while camping the fishing was really poor so I fooled around with the small fish while snorkeling. I observed the smallmouth would actually bit onto the red hook instead of the worm. .
  9. When Trolling for Muskie on Buckhorn some guy in a speedboat cut behind us just as my lure hit weeds and surfaced proceeding to hit my lure. I hate it when people cut close behind you while trolling!
  10. That has to be one of the worst feelings ever a limp line. Nice lunge too. btw can muskie bite through braid?
  11. HAHAHA That's great. Well Done!!
  12. I got a 2lb. er hooked on the side of the head trolling the a 10" soft muskie bait. Release fine though.
  13. I fished the Live target Shad and it works great for Pike. No real problems.
  14. as far as fishing for bass and pike in spots near Hamilton, what are your thoughts between Mountsberg, Niapenco or other spots.
  15. Actually I have no idea how to catch walleye. My two biggest were this one and one off a rattle trap going for smallmouth.
  16. As this is my first post I'll Start off by introducing myself. I stumbled on this site while looking for information on local Conservation areas. My name is Lukas and I'm 16. I love fishing, especially for bass. My bass opener this year was on Lake Niapenco in Binbrook. We started off casting crankbaits and spinnerbaits along with a few topwaters. After no success I switched to a dropshot rig in about 6 feet of water. A few minutes later a fish was pulling out drag (which was a bit loose as I was fishing from a canoe. I brought it to the surface and it was a nice walleye as seen below. My personal biggest as I have not had a lot of success. Finally Niapenco is stained lake with very little structure and a mud, silt bottom. I will be going back at least once this week so if anyone has any tips for fishing this type of water for bass or pike it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
