  1. I just happened to do some price comparisons on tackle wharehouse yesterday and was shocked to see that all their abu rods and reels were either the same price or more but never less than what I sold them for in my store. So other than the diffence between their shipping charge and our tax there was zero savings or you paid more. And other stores in southern On. sold at the same price points as me so unless they have a big broad sale on I dont see a deal there at all. This pricing comparison likely applies to many other lines as well.

Abu and Daiwa stuff yes, Canadian retailers seem to be cheaper, maybe cause of the dollar a few months ago? I paid 670 shipped for two G Loomis NRX. Plus 80 on taxes. Those same models would of costed me 1073 here. Hardly comparable. Years ago it was better, pricing is similar, thats why i wait for the days that have 20-30% off which is quarterly, plus they have a huge selection

  2. I ship UPS from TW, i just get charged the taxes. Theirs certain methods from UPS that will not rape you with brokerage charges. But 90% of their services will. I bought a used reel from the states. 180, the guy from bbc shipped it UPS reg when i asked for USPS, i got charged 50 dollars :wallbash: , next day bought a new reel from a member @ bbc, 300, he shipped USPS Regular, NO taxes or duties. What a joke. The new reel was worth double and got by no problem

  3. A friend has it, reception is pretty poor in buildings (he has the lg 2x). And unlimited talking is only in the zones. Once you go out you pay per min, barely covers the golden horseshow area. If you contract is ending, call up retentions and work a new deal. I pay less than 50 taxes in (not unlimited but 6 gigs of data w/ 350 mins and my ten nationwide is enough for me)

  4. I got a new 1775 impact last year with a 115, paid under 25000 and got lot of options put on. Could've went used, but figured i wanted to upgrade to a ranger in a few years anyways. Didnt have time to search stateside, work full time and school. Also didnt buy a truck to tow it till 2 weeks before it was ready :o I got it at Bay City, great dealer.

Didnt fit in the garage though. Gotta build it out a foot lol

I think your best bet would be used in the states, youll get a lot more boat for your money. Im not sure if the pricing on the impact went up this year, youd have to price it out at a dealership

  5. Daiwa samurai 55. Lebarons pricing is cheaper than the states. Spb was awesome. The orange colour was garbage though, thing was frayed after a few trips

With the 20lb test being strong, I'm sure it is. But when you cast, with a quick or whip cast the line snaps like nothing lol. Prob is the way I cast, I've always used next to no braking and never thumb the spool and bomb the lure out. Have to be gentler with braid

  6. 15lb braid has the breaking strength of like 30lb mono. Might wanna re-think your casting technique, lol.

Lets say powerpro, ive seen some tests where it broke at between 17-20lb, alot less than 30lb mono.

With tension near rocks or other cover, my line got cut off no problem, same with casting, threw out the whole spool.

I do cast really hard though lol, could almost empty the whole spool on my daiwa alpha

  7. Screen size, if your using more than one feature (downscan, gps, structure scan), I find the 7 small after using it for the season

Gen 2 are out already I believe, I'm grabbing one, the structure scan being overlayed on the map looks awesome, easier to interpret too. If your buying an 8 and lss I believe the rebates will be 300, which is pretty good
