  1. I was up there this weekend for a guys fishing weekend, we fished the trent river side of hastings. Fishing was better than I experienced in Rice lake over the last few years cruising the shoreline casting at docks was most productive lot's of 2 lb smallies and 4-6 lbs pike. No monsters but it was good fishing all three days, and not nearly as crowded as I thought it would be
  2. I ended up in Baptiste lake by accident with a buddy, got a little lost since we started on Elephant. I know Elephant lake has musky the other 3 groups at the lodge we stayed at all caught a handfull early in the morning in the west end of the lake. We didn't get any, just Pike and Bass. oh, and elephant lake lodge would let you launch cheap, but I believe it's changed ownership since I've been there
  3. thanks for the tip
  4. Hi everyone, I going on a trip to Ahmic lake next weekend, looking for some advice on past success. We are staying on the west end of the lake, we heard the walleye are big there but hard to find, mostly looking for some pike, and panfish, but certainly wouldn't pass on the 'eyes. Also how is the lake for hidden rocks or other hazards, I don't really want to find out how challenging it is to change props on the water. Thanks for your help
  5. I pay just under $500 for my 16' smoker w/Merc 75 efi, financed so that's the works, from the Personal I believe. Joe
  6. They just changed the bylaws which will make it harder to rent it out properly. Not to mention the fact that since I moved away from there 5 years ago tons of housing has gone up for students, there used to be a shortfall of places to rent now they have a surplus. Just my two cents Joe
  7. If he is checking compression he has a gauge, so bar the engine over until the valves are supposed to be closed and pressurize, find out if/where the air is coming out and you will find the problem.
  8. On my Mercury 75 4 stroke the torque is 55 lb/ft
