I'll get out on the ice later. For now, I'm enjoying not freezing my nuts off.

Exactly! Im stoked to hit soft water in december(even though all I caught was sturgeon and a crap load a of lil saugers)
  2.

The place I worked for had the best pizza I have ever had bar none.

I miss it big time. Might have to see if it's still there when I come to visit.

Pretty sure it's gone as the owners will be long retired now.

That big night we had only 2 drivers on staff (it was a Thursday) and for some reason the place was busier than a Saturday for orders. We were taking 1/2 dozen orders out for delivery @ a time. No time for breaks until close it was that busy.

I have a bud in fort frances that delivers for dominos and he clears an average of $150 tips a shift on top of his wages.

Its actaully a really good job Id say, especially driving in just a town of 8000

  3. Latest ive ever put the boat in the water was november 18th

Im heading out soon for walleye, its +4 in NW ontario and extended forecast might have me on soft water until christmas

Which is kinda awesome and a bummer at the same time lol

  4. There has been 355 mass shootings in the U.S.A so far this year. Team gun culture.

Not near as many mass shootings in Canada. Mostly of aboriginal people in first couple hundred years.

In last 100 years maybe a couple of dozen times in Canada.

    Governance as a whole buddy.

Resposible for WAY MORE DEATHS than every possible thing combined

  5. Dave and Rick, you both can send them to me and I'll give all to him on a weekend where I'm in Brooklin (North Whitby) when I pick up or drop off my kids. Your call guys.

Sounds great to me! Im sure I have at least 5 reels to donate. Ill start looking in the morning. Goeff txt me you address bud

  6. Not sure if this is the right place, but here goes.

A friend of mine works with special needs kids, and takes them fishing for an hour a day, however, the reels they have available are very old, and the anti reverse is broken on them, so they spend over half the time untangling lines.

So, I am collecting reels to donate to them, personally I have 2 reels that will be going. If any of you have any reels you no longer have a use for, that are collecting dust, in decent working order, and you like to donate them please let me know, I;ll be giving them to her parents to take up north to her. Im in the Ajax/Whitby/Oshawa area

    Pm me

  7. I got a friend who has over 50 assault rifles with three of them 50 cal. with optics and way more than 20,000 rounds for them. It is a collection that would bring tears to your eyes from the mechanical art work and the rarity and stories behind them. It is something to look through the scope of the 50cal. sniper rifle and at 880 yards ( 1/2 mile) knowing it can hit a 6 inch gong if you are good enough. You will never convince me that a gun is evil it is the person behind it that makes the decision. I agree with all of the checks and tests to get a gun but if you qualify you should be able to get the gun you choose.

    Art

    Thats awesome!

Ive had the priveledge of shooting some pretty awesome guns and it sure is a good time!

  8. Russian citizens lap up anything RT spoon feeds to them, and most other people I see defending/lauding him are so anti government they will accept any theory that knocks the gov.

He's right to call out Erdogan for buying IS oil. I haven't seen much else from him that impresses me.

Not really true. Although RT is basically just state run crap like we have hear in the west as well.

I like the fact hes calling out the west/NATO on their horrible policies in regards to the middle east.

I will add IMO all world leaders are megalomaniacs lol.

And Im no Putin lover either, hes an oligarch playing similar games as everybody else(just doing it better)

  9.

    Exactly!!!

In Canada before we can even think about purchasing a firearm we need to take a safety course.

My course lasted for 6 weeks and was one night a week. Then there is written and practical tests to pass before you can apply for a license to even purchase/own a firearm. Then when you apply for your license (there are a couple of levels most often applied for unrestricted (long guns and shot guns) and restricted (handguns and other restricted firearms) you send in all the paper work and the RCMP runs a background check on you (takes weeks). Then if you are approved you get your license and are able to go into a gun shop and purchase a firearm. They take down all the info off the card when you purchase and after you pay for it you leave the shop.

You have to renew your license every 5 years which helps weed out the undesirables (wife beaters, crooks) who have popped up. They are then denied a license because of their transgressions.

This keeps the majority of mental cases gun free. There are still illegal guns around but nothing like the States because down there the 2nd amendment says "every body gets guns"!!! No training and lax background checks.

On black Friday the FBI got 185,000 checks to do.

Tell me how they can manage to not make an error with numbers like that?

Our system may not be perfect but I do believe it is a lot better than the one in the US.

It took about 4 months if I remember correctly to purchase firearms.

I also believe our system is much better in comparison

  10. I agree you can't blame the gun, 100%. But I think you can blame the government for not requiring the Mom to take a training/safety course, and for not requiring her to store the gun safely.

And by government, I don't mean Obama. I think these things would already by in place if he had his way.

Yep im all for guns/gun rights too but courses should be mandatory.

A good fishing buddy from MN teaches the courses there and I believe its law to be trained to carry.
